  1. Hi Tom Just seen your images of the Cooling Tower distruction - theyre fantastic. As you can see from the previous entry, I was there also. Wasn't it a wonderful night! There was so much atmosphere! I don't have a website yet so I am going to have a go at putting my photo here Hope people like it (if the link works...) Glenys
  2. Hi I took some photos of the towers coming down (in 4 stages - full colour). I have since sold them as cards (in droves) in the Real Sheffield Shop on Ecclesall Road, and am at present selling them through the Clocktower Gallery at the Northern General Hospital. If you like I can send a thumbnail to anyone who would like a gander. I am also sellling them as enlargements up to A2 size at present. They were taken from the Kimberworth side, so they have a full cityscape (well, Tinsley scape) lit up behind them. Thanks Glenys [email protected]
  3. There seems to be a shortage of events this year, or am I just imagining it?? If anyone is aware of any events or craft fairs, or in fact anywhere such as shop space where I can even leave goods to be sold, I would be greatful. I am a photographer by trade and have a selection of greetings cards depicting the explosion of the cooling towers in stages that would sell well, along with cards and merchandise of my other (mainly nature) images. I also make basic costume jewellery. Thanks Glenys Everest Wincobank
  4. Hi from a local photographer My Sister in Bradford has begun attending local line dancing classes with a stock of greetings cards which she puts on display during the breaks between classes/drinking time (if in a club). As far as I know she runs it a little like a party plan, where the organiser of the class gets a percentage of takings in the form of goods (ie for every 10 cards she sells, the organiser gets one free). I am trying to do the same here in Sheffield now, with not only cards but also handmade jewellery. I wondered if anyone would be interested in having me round one evening a month at one of your classes. If that is possible, I can make a stock of line dancing themed cards, and will also post out to you an advert to be displayed a couple of weeks in advance. It would cost you nothing, but I should imagine the venue would have to be made aware of it, though, if money is passing hands! I would only have to be there for an hour at the most as I can time it with your breaks Thanks Glenys Wincobank
  5. Hi from a local photographer I can't work out if this is the correct thread to be posting this as we are in Sheff property and housing, but here goes:confused: My Sister in Bradford has begun attending local line dancing classes with a stock of greetings cards which she puts on display during the breaks between classes/bar time (if in a WMC). I'm also hoping to make button badges in the future, so maybe I could theme those, but that all depends on my success in this little venture:)
  6. Are there any free stalls? I make cards, jewellery and also am a photographer. Glenys
