will then be faced with countless administrative / follow on duties or alternatively will thenWhilst they only spend 2 and a half days in your particular practice, you will usually find that doctors do work in other fields for the other days also. For instance many doctors specialised in a particular hospital field as well as being a GP, therefore may work in one of the local hospitals within a specialist field on the other days. It also amuses me that some people think that GP's simply clock on for their first patient and then clock off after their last patient as this only accounts for a percentage of the days duties, many go on to complete home visits. Regardless the working day is much greater than clinic times.
I dont agree I have worked in many GP surgeries and can tell you that thursday afternoons there is no one around and no explanation as to where they are ! In this day and age i think its disgraceful that thursday half day closing is allowed Most surgeries have enough GPs to offer a service from 8 am to 8 pm monday to saturday instead of paying into the GP collabs out of hours that pay doctors over £100 pounds per hour sometimes much much more Walk in centres do not do long term conditions reviews, bloods or anything that is remotely routine for which hard working people cannot get to their local practice for weeks and weeks because of their rigid traditional practices .

ahh yes can see them all now !! one balancing on one leg on the edge!! really wish they would re position the cameras for next year seems daft that we have a large view of building below the perch so we cant see them on top of it when they get a bit more adventureous surely it wouldnt be hard to do this?

looks like they have fledged already

Yes. The contract will most often define a 'Date of Practical Completion' (DoPC) and allow the vendor to serve a DoPC notice on the purchaser stating a date- perhaps ten working days thereafter- which becomes the contractual completion date.
Thank you for that I will get on to them tomorrow I am a bit concerned that she was pursuaded to go with the developers panel of "solicitors" instead of going with solicitors I have used in the past for conveyancing (irwin mitchell} and find out they are "licensed conveyancers" so i dont know if there may be a difference but she was told that there are always problems if you dont use those who are used to help to buy and new bulid ! probably a load of bull no doubt

This is not unusual with new build and builders. Cash changes hand on exchange of contract, but you don't get the keys until completion. With new build the developer often expects a 28 day exchange so they have cash flow, 9 times out of 10 exchange takes place before the house is built so you obviously have to wait until the house is finalised before completion. They should be giving you a completion date pretty soon after exchange though as they should know when the house will be completed. It may seem unfair but I can at least tell you that this is completely normal with new build.
thank you for your advice Dannyboy puts my mind at ease a little !!

I take it your daughter has a solicitor? New build are completely different when it comes to completion dates. The developer will not commit themselves to a completion date for fear of being sued if the house isn't ready on said date. You usually get about two weeks notice of when the completion date will be. Have they not at least given you some sort of indication of what month it will be finished?
Hi Yes well they are called Licensed Conveyances not exactly solicitors and yes they have the deposit We were given a date when we reserved the plot but now the developer are saying it wont be that date but wont commit to another date I am just concerned where the money is at the moment and the conveyancers are no help

My daughter is buying a new build house with help to buy mortgage i have gifted her the 10% deposit for the house This deposit was paid about 6 weeks ago on exchange of contracts but we still do not have a firm completion date. I was under the impression that when you exchange completion takes place soon after but we have not even got a date yet. The money I gave could be earning me a little interest but instead is in someone elses bank account can some one tell me if this is the usual procedure I have no experience of buying new build Thank you

The ladies' were on the right hand side of the baths (as you look at the front) and the men's were on the left I think. They closed at about the same time as the baths, after which the strange metal pod thing was put in place on Holme Lane.
Wonder if they are still down there??

There was a gents' toilet at Malin Bridge, down some steps on the corner of Rivelin Valley Road opposite the shops. It's shown on this 1950s OS map.
I seem to remember some at Hillsboro near where The Wetherspoons pub is that used to be swimming baths I think these were the ladies and you went down some steps (where those posts are on this picture

This was on Micheal Foggs facebook page earlier today I cant quite believe it I think its just disgraceful Can they really pick and choose who can use the crematorium surely this is ethically wrong the funeral directors association need to be doing something about it.
SOME TIME AGO WE WAS APPROACHED BY DIGNITY FUNERAL SERVICE TO WITH A VIEW OF US SELLING OUR FAMILY FUNERAL HOME .
WE DECLINED TO EVEN SPEAK TO THEM.
SO THEY OPENED AN OFFICE AT HANDSWORTH.
A FEW MONTHS AGO DIGNITY BOUGHT GRENOSIDE CREMATORIUM AND SADLY THE MANAGER WHO RAN THE CREMATORIUM FOR OVER 12 YEARS WAS NO LONGER REQUIRED.
AND THEY APPOINTED A NEW MANAGER. I WAS UPSET AT THE WAY THIS MAN HAD BEEN TREATED AND I RANG DIGNITY AND TOLD THEM IT DIDN'T SEEM RIGHT TREATING A MAN WHO HAD WORKED SO HARD TO BE TREATED THIS WAY .
I WAS OBVIOUSLY VERY UPSET AS HE IS ALSO A FRIEND.
DIGNITY FUNERAL HAVE NOW BANNED OUR COMPANY FROM ATTENDING GRENOSIDE AND ROTHERHAM CREMATORIUM. I HAVE SPOKEN TO
THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FUNERAL DIRECTORS
WHO'S LEGAL TEAM HAVE TOLD US IT'S UP TO THEM WHO THEY BAN .
ALTHOUGH, ON A MORAL STAND IT IS TOTALLY WRONG AS IT'S THE FAMILY'S WHO CHOOSE A CREMATORIUM THEY WISH TO GO TO .
I BELIEVE THIS IS A WAY OF MONOPOLIZING THE FUNERAL INDUSTRY.
DIGNITY OWN
C&A REEDS
C PRITCHARD.
HANDSWORTH AND DISTRICT .
ALONG WITH OVER OVER 800
OTHER FUNERAL HOMES.
I AM NOT ALLOWED TO POST MY OTHER CONCERNS ON FACEBOOK AS DIGNITY HAVE THREATENED US AS A FAMILY WITH LEGAL ACTION.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE OUR POST .

Now the mighty Sheffield University has blocked off the only way on to Glossop road/West street from the Univeristy roundabout maybe the only way on is to do a right turn then turn round and come back down Glossop road to avoid a mighty detour
I would love to know who is bed with who at this university, sheffield city planning dept and the highways commission.

The Arena is well used for other things other than big pop names. Disney on Ice is always popular as are the sports events and occasional religious meetings. I agree it is horrible but so are Nottingham Birmingham and Manchester (not been to Leeds) they are there for a purpose. Most big music names dont make money with their records anymore so rely on tours to make the big wad and these arenas let them do this. As for big names not coming wasnt Olly Murs there last week and Drake a couple of weeks ago??
The price of food and drinks is extortionate anywhere like this. i think we paid around £14 for a glass of wine and a gin and tonic in the Lyceum !! But then we dont HAVE to buy it do we?

It might be worth talking to the councils parking control department (or whatever it's called)
See if they could come round and do a blitz every so often, ticket all the cars causing obstructions.
You could inquire if it's possible to have double yellows put on the corners of juncitons too.
Ha Ha this is so funny As if the council or parking control are bothered about anything like this in S5 !!! All they care about is the lovely residents of S10 S11 who have the luxury of resident parking There is even a road in Broomhill that the kind council have put white lines at the bottom of the residents drives so no parking can occur I cant see that happenning around Fairbank Road any time soon
-
Yes.... why not pay the parking fee and park all day in the car park instead of parking in front of peoples homes and blocking access to care workers district nurses maintenence people etc If ever an emergency vehicle needs to get down those roads to attend a serious incident God help them. Come on are you so tight you cant cough up a few quid for one day?? Or try public transport

I had to stop watching Call the Midwife the other night I was so sick of the melodramatic drivally music in every single scene Why do the programme makers think this is a good idea? It spoils the show and is distracting and so loud I cant make out the dialogue sometimes. If its supposed to portray what is happening in the scene then it is an insult to the viewer who I am sure can do this by themselves Any views??
