  3. Hi, Can anyone recommend where I can get two tyres that i have already got fitted and balanced to my Ford KA for a reasonable price. Rung a couple of the local tyre centres and had some alarming figures back! Read somewhere on the forum about some places charging well under a tenner each. Anyone got any recomendations or current prices? Thanks
  4. Hi, Can anyone recommend a good car valeter? I have a Ford KA that needs a full valet, dog hair removal and interior shampoo, Also could do with the bodywork buffing up. Have looked on internet and the prices range from £50 which includes body buffing to £70 for just a basic full valet, any recommendations or quotes appreciated. Thanks
  5. We got quoted 2 % as well. Asked them to come back to me with a lower figure.... still waiting six weeks on. Went with Halifax, originally 2% but agreed at 1.5% including adverts etc there and then. If they think they can move your house reasonably quickly the Halifax will move on price.. well they did with us. Also checked out a local indi and Blundells. Blundells was 1.35% plus approx £400 advertising... plus additional amounts for ''extra adverts''. Hope this helps?
  6. Thanks James Quick reply! Just read your threads and been on your web. Will PM you Thanks

Would imagine that I had the same teachers as you did, cant remember them all but here goes:- Mr Warren - PE Mr Griffiths - PE Mr Lally - French - He helped greatly towards my self confidence by making me stand up and read out verbs in french Mr Doherty - Boring - Physics Mr Justice - Geography Mr Harrison - Maths Mr Mitchell - CDT - scary bloke but very funny - heard he passed away shortly after I left. Mr Cambell - Also Physics Mr Mcgowen - English Mr Hydes - Chemistry Cant think of anymore at the moment! Cheers
  12. Hello Did anyone attend All Saints School between 1986 & 1990? I did - and it has some very good and very bad memories - especially bad was the cross country ''runs'' we used to do in Norfolk park, the run wasn't that bad but trying to climb that bloody wall that separated the school from the park entrance was a nightmare after running for half an hour. I used to cheat and walk up the road (Where it was much lower!). Cheers
  13. Thanks for the PM and the post. Will ask Gran to recall everyone she knew on the Manor, she knows Mavis (tatty dumps very well) My mum used to take Mavis's daughter to school way back in the late fifties. Its great to read this thread as I have so many fond memories of my early days on the Manor.. I even remember Hauges chippy, the ''VG'' shop at the side of the post office, the bookies (which was next to the chippy??) Freddy Gebards butchers .. Gran used to buy me a pie from there... And i'm only 33! Grandad did suffer terribly at the hands of the Japanese and used to get quite upset of how they treated him but he lived to be 85 and was a happy man who loved his family and i still miss him. All the best
  14. Sorry its not me - I was there from 1981 to 1983 if that helps. Cheers
