  2. Re-opening this conversation as it is pretty old. I'm wanting glass panels on a metal frame for my decking (which is also yet to be laid). Can anybody suggest a company which is reasonable in price? The deck is 2.5m x 7m x 2.5m (a u shape). I've been quoted £2k which is just far too much! Thanks in advance

  10. A group of young males are cycling from Sheffield to Cornwall over the period of one week on September 4th, raising money for Cancer Research. We are looking for somebody to donate an exercise bike to aid in the training & raise further cash for the cause. The bike will be placed in The Tulip Lounge where the lads will be using it for training & also raising money whilst they train by getting sponsorship from the bar. A good standard of exercise bike is required if possible & can be returned after use or auctioned off for the charity. If any gyms or fitness establishments are interested, we will display your promotional material by the bike too. Please get in touch if you can help

All the proceeds will go to Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity who we continue to support. Please get in touch if you feel you can help.

  16. Thanks guys, theres some great advice on here. There are a couple of businesses I've looked at, all where either the owners are retiring or moving abroad. The one I originally mentioned has been run by the same people for 25 years & they are now retiring. I know its a big venture & I am young (26) but if nobody would be willing to help people start out in business then there'd be no entrepreneurs & the world would be full of corporate businesses running everything. The business does make a profit every year, enough for the owners to pay their bills & wages etc & to take a nice little amount for themselves. Its something I'm looking at as a first venture to get me started & build the experience for future ventures. I am worried about securing a 100% loan with no money up front though.
  17. I was wondering if banks would help out someone who has no assets or money to put up front to buy an existing, successful business? If that person could draw up a good business plan, had vast experience in the industry & now wanted to go it alone. Any ideas or would it be better to stay working for someone else & not risk the financial implications of owning a business?
  18. Please take a look at our website, we had a great first christmas & have got a lot of bookings from it.
  19. Please take a look at our website, we can accommodate up to 200 people in a lovely intimate venue.
  20. They clean it every night after gigs & club nights. Then it gets deep cleaned in the day. They cant really clean up whilst gigs are on, its just how things go at gigs really. They try their best when theres a club night on afterwards to clean it the best they can, but they have about half an hours turnaround time. As for the size issue, you must have been in Academy Two. The main room is huge, the academy holds around 2600! Its a great asset to Sheffield in my opinion, its brought in great musicians that were too big for Leadmill & too small for the arena.
  21. Hi again, Thanks for calling me earlier, I tried to ring you back but I couldn't get through. We will be able to offer you most of the venue, leaving a small space for the general public if they venture in. Our capacity is 200 you see, so we'd need to make sure we had enough trade, don't worry, you wont see 150 members of the general public coming in! Give me a ring again when you can & we can sort out the music & buffet etc. Regards Michael
  22. We have free parking around us after 6pm, give me a ring on 2765870 & ask for Michael. I'll be at work tonight from 5pm.
