Hi I have taken in an abandoned cat for a friend. She is a stunning chocolate brown to sand coloured tortie. She is quite friendly but does not like loudness and is definitely not fond of my existing cats. We have called her Stitch and she is desperate for fuss. I think she would do well in a quieter home with no other animals. Is there anyone who could help me? Please pm or call 0114 230 4553 Lorraine

Hi to anyone who can help We took care of two elderly cats from an old lady who needed to go into a home. However they got out and we cannot find them. They are both elderly cats. One is black and white (Bear) with a white muzzle and is a bit of bruiser to look at. Smokey has a Siamese face and looks very thin. He is a soft tan with light brown splodges. You will know him as his breath would curdle milk and he is musucy (if that is a word) Please telephone me if you can help. We are near Hallam Primary School so that will give you an idea of location. 01142304553

Bev of John Lewis fame has again planned the trip to Alexandra Palace for the Knit and Stitch show. It is amazing value and worth it just for the art work. She was looking to fill the last few places on the coach. So if you are interested please get to see her at JL. Don't miss out - it is that good!!

Removing Black Coffee Stains From Knitting

I would not be worried. I would make a feature of the stain and go around it with a daisy stitch. Call him Patch. Or dip the whole bear in coffee and change him entirely. -

:)Bev, Rowan consultant at John Lewis, has kindly organised another trip to Allie Pallie this October for the Knit and Stitch show. Last year was an amazing trip. She has organised for a coach to pick us up at Barkers Pool at 0730 and to take us to the door at Allie Pallie. Obviously the reverse on the way home. Last year we had a comfort break on the way down and back. The cost is £32.50 I believe. I thoroughly recommend going and you should book your place if you are interested for this year. You need to contact her directly or if you need her email address then please pm me. This is organised by Bev and is not a John Lewis trip.

It clashes with the Psalter unfortunately. But will try to get there some time.

Wool Baa Fundraising Psalter Meet Sat Feb 26th 1030

Just to let you know we raised £64. Thank you to everyone who came. If you didn't you missed me being invited by Rory (Rhona's) to do cartwheels. Of course I was brilliant!! -
With the cost you could pay for a weekend at Rowan or a SAturday at john Lewis and Jill also offers lessons. The advantage of going to a lesson is that you have people around you who can help. It takes a very good magazine to help you when you are stuck.

CAncelled due to family bereavement. Not sure of funeral etc so better to cancel early rather than late. Apologies. Will arrange another in May.

It would be rude not to welcome new yarns into our stashes. We should welcome them with open arms. -
Interestingly I have had a finish off projects period. Finished baby blanket, crochet blanket, on 2nd sock and various blanket squares. It does feel good to make some space. ALso had a yarn cull and been realistic about whether I was going to use items. So generally been good.

I have sorted out a huge bag of yarn. I have got all of my chunky which I am not going to use if I am honest. Now I am looking for lovely new knitting ladies to come and buy at a bargain at the same time as getting money for a lovely boy. We all have a purchase we are not going to use that we could bring and Rhona I am NOT buying the grey boucle. Remember this is a two part morning - bring and sell!!! All for Alex. Spread the word to the knitters you know please.
