  1. Hi everyone! For our wedding we want candles, candles everywhere! Problem is, as a stately home we're only allowed real candles on tables . So the solution would be to buy a whole heap of LED candles or tea lights. I'm not sure if anyone has any idea where I could either buy these fairly cheaply, or hire them? Thanks Ellie
  2. I mean to check it out at some point, it's just down the road from me. I'd be interested if anyone has been before though!
  3. I got caught out too - I thought that there were anchovies in it, and unfortunately bet my boyfriend there was - oops. Tamarinds are funny things - I never thought they had the capacity to be so yum! I used to live abroad and had a tamarind tree and we made tamarind icecream once. never again. bleugh!!!!!
  4. My favourite rum is Mount Gay (there are lots of jokes with a name like this!), which I think is from Barbados. I think it used to be available only in the Caribbean but now Tesco stock it!!!! It's lovely. The bottle I have open at the moment is called Cane Garden Bay, but that is still only available over where it's made, they don't export .
  5. Hi I've been pondering getting an allotment/putting my name on a waiting list for some time now, as our garden is basically the size of a postage stamp, and gets no sunlight at all. I would prefer one in the S10 or possibly S6 area, but cannot seem to find a map on the council website with a map on, although I can find the names of the allotment sites. Also, anyone have any idea how long a wait there is for an allotment? Depending on the size, I might want to share an allotment with someone else, as I'm not sure I have the time to do loads and loads. I do think it would be great fun, and I'm not bothered about having to clear land before starting. Anyone have any guidance or advice? Thanks
  6. I can't believe how many people have found themselves in the same situation! I vote we organise a meet of some description! Anyone have any ideas?
  7. Is this still going ahead this evening? I don't want to be the only one turning up, clutching my book!
  8. Hi I'll come if that's OK? I'll have a good think about my favourite book...!
  9. I've got a slow cooker, but to be honest I've never really done anything in it but casseroles. I would love to use it more though, I just need some good recipes!
  10. Hi all I've lived in Sheffield now for a fair while, and it's taken a while to realise that most my friends have now moved out of the city! I am now on the "lookout" (lol) for more friends to keep me entertained in Sheffield, but am a little stuck on how. I'm quite normal and nice, and I even have a job! I live in Crookes Thanks Ellie
  11. Hi guys I've decided not to come to tonights meeting, as I haven't read the book or know anything about it - I think I'd feel a little out of place! I would however love to come to the next one (having read the book!), so I'll check back here regularly to see when the next one is and the book that we'll be reading. Looking forward to meeting you all! Ellie
  12. Hi guys Would love to come along to a book club - have been on and off looking for one for ages. Could I come along? Although I won't have had time to read the book, so am fine with the next one too... How many people normally turn up? Thanks Ellie
  13. I have a nice, large room with lots of cupboard space in Crookes going beginning of June. Please email me at [email protected] for more details! Thanks Ellie
  14. i did think about that but then i read this thing on the internet (source of all garbage) that if you feed them stuff like that they'll force it down and then probably be iller...
