  1. Yes it is me! My mother was interviewed for radio sheffield. I havent spoken to aperson yet who is happy with the new system. The trouble is, the people this is mainly affecting is the elderly & families who dont have the time or technological know-how to sign an online petition. The link is below, please sign and spread the word.
  2. More packaging, consumation increase & fortnightly collections.
  3. Hehe i do appreciate your enthusiasm but the injustice is, we pay for these so called services, so shouldnt be out of pocket. No composting is not for me thankyou! Hehe
  4. I shouldnt have to!! What is the council tax going on? Not the roads or refuseor the street lights which are hardly on! And yes i am considering getting a burning bin for garden waste now which i shouldnt have to do! Smelly fires and more expense! What a joke!
  5. Do you seriously think the bin situation is about future generations? Its about profit pure and simple, otherwise they would have kepr the green bin even though it doesnt make the council a fortune like the blue bins.
  6. We no longer have a garden waste bin! I do not want a compost bin, i do not have space for one anyway even if i did. So yes it goes in the bin, or i use my expensive petrol taking it to the tip using my precious time. I have a cat not a cow which eats food that comes in packaging, sorry bout that!!
  7. You people? Oh Superior one, cutting grass makes a lot, emptying a large indoor bin as per examples. some of US PEOPLE have large families, pets etc so yes create rubbish, it isnt a crime! To tar everyone with the same brush is unfair and generalising isnt helping anyone.
  8. Because, you may put your bin out full and your neighbour does the same. Then creates more rubbish/empties big kitchen bin or gardens for example, then cram this rubbish into your bin because theirs is full. Yours is now overflowing and will be left, theirs wont. Simples.
  9. Fly tipping is happening, using neighbours bins IS happening, tips problems are happening. No amount of "tut tut well recycle more" is gonna change that. Not sure where u would live where neighbours cannot access your bin? Maybe a long private drive? But most people put them out onto the roadside for collection BESIDE their neighbours bin, easy to access.
  10. https://sheffield.moderngov.co.uk/mgEPetitionDisplay.aspx?ID=85&RPID=184386&HPID=184386&%24LO%24=1&TPID=184388&$LO$=1PLEASE SIGN MY E-PETITION https://sheffield.moderngov.co.uk/mgEPetitionDisplay.aspx?ID=85&RPID=184386&HPID=184386&%24LO%24=1&TPID=184388&$LO$=1 After a lengthy queue monday morning at the local tip to dispose of my garden rubbish i decided to start this petition. Talking to the "tip" workers, it seems the MAJORITY of people are finding the new system difficult. They said; The council is only keeping the blue bins for the huge profit they make (but refuse to invest) Fly tipping is on the increase there is not enough staff to man the tips people are bringing household rubbish & garden waste for the 20 workers, there are 10 managers, this is where your council tax is going people of Sheffield. and you get to use your own car and fuel to dispose of your own waste for the privilege. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT...SIGN THE PETITION

  13. I normally go to eccellsall. has anyone had any luck yet? i always seem to go just too early or just too late!!
  14. most people going are already married or attatched. sorry geezer!
  15. thats great, thank you. didn't realise the city hall still did that! i went there on my hen night and it was a good atmospehere then. isn't west street still a bit studenty?? which bars are best? any more recs please?
  16. im wanting some recomendations please, its my friends hen night this august and i want to make sure that she has a great time. the trouble is, i haven't been down town in ages due to having 2 babies very close in age, i've either been pregnant or too knackered!! so im a bit out of touch with all the bars and clubs and every one i seem to mention i get informed that it has closed or changed to something else! there is loads of us going, aged 22-50!!! we want a really good night, not somewhere full of posers or scruffy students but somewhere we can all enjoy and not feel out of place. so far we can only come up with the walkabout!! but have no clue on a club or other bars.is the 80's bar still going/worth going?? please, recomendations!!!!!! thank you!
  17. sundown- its good, no animals now though!! ideal for little ones too young for a proper theme park. a bit steep at £7 each though, and i'd advise taking your own food as its really pricey and rank there. But worth a visit, my 2 year old loves it! might try some of the others suggested here, wish there was something like these in sheffield!
  18. hi motherearth, welcome to the area. where abouts are you?? i've lived around here for a few years, peaks is ok, its better than it was although there are more chavs now. there is a playland between halfway and killamarsh thats worth a visit, or rother valley counrty park is nice in the summer. how old are your little ones??
  19. good luck jennie, i hope you find this works for you! it so true what you say about society, it makes me so mad when people are "oh poor alcho's, poor junkies, poor anorexics, poor smoker- have lots of free patches/methadone etc but ha ha, look at them fatties, why don't they stop eating!!" even doctors!! makes my blood boil! so i totally understand what youre saying and you have my full sympathy. i think that it is a disorder just the same but soo much harder to quit, you can quit smack or booze, but you HAVE to eat forever. thats why this lipotrim sounds great, you don't have to think about what unappealing rabbit food to make for lunch, the choice is taken away. therefore the temptation to eat cr*p is too. the fast results also sound appealing, ive lost 2 pounds in 2 weeks and have eaten naff all, its so disheartening but i can't quit! well anyway, good luck and keep us posted on your progress. if this isnt for you, have you considered a gastric band jennie?? i know a few people who have lost stones with this and its changed their lives. different strokes tho eh??
  20. yeh sorry fandl, its just the only thing that works for me, i eat any more i just stay the same!!! its such a hard thing and everyone finds different ways. we all want the quick fix but its being disciplined afterwards thats the battle isnt it?? same goes if you find a wondercure!!!!!
  21. i know that im not stupid. but when you have tried every diet and the only thing that works is 600-700 cals a day, you do what works.i don't have time to excercise. i'd rather be thin than healthy anyway! eta i think that thousands of africans would disagree with the old "starving doesn't make you loose weight"
  22. i personally think they're worth every penny. the amount you save in products alone adds up quickly. I've tried loads of other types and none can touch them, even the similar ceramic ones aren't as good, take a lot longer to do if you have a lot of hair. on the safety issue, i have never had a pair that blew up, but after a year or so of use, my pair decided not to switch off properly and remained hot even when off, they didnt really cause any damage as i noticed quickly. i contacted jemila and they replaced them for a brand new pair free of charge. i was very happy with the service and have had my new pair about 2 years now, i just use a heat protection mat and unplug them each time i use them i wouldn't be without them and i would definitley advise stretching the budget that little bit, its soo worth it! if you know anyone training to be a hairdresser they can usually get a bit off them but tbh, its not that much, its easier just to buy them from the hairdresser imo.
