Attention, all Recruitment Consultants.
Recruitguru replied to Recruitguru's topic in Sheffield Business & Employment
As a rec 2 rec agency, amongst other positions, we deal with many different agencies the length and bredth of the UK. So to give you a web address is quite difficult. I suggest that you give either myself or Anna, one of my consultants, a call to discuss your particular requirements. All conversations will be dealt with confidentially. Dave or Anna on 0114 2703 282. -
I fully take your comments on, but Mr. Goose has hit the nail on the head. These groups seem to instil fear into their offspring and paint the false picture that everything out with the group is bad or evil. Why can't the world have one religion, HUMANISM, this would ensure that everybody was given the same opportunity. Treat others like you would treat yourself!!

Advice for a job interview!
Recruitguru replied to blondie-blue's topic in Sheffield Business & Employment
At the end of any interview it is always a good thing to let the interviewer know that you enjoyed meeting with them and also enjoyed the interview. At this stage it is always worth asking him/her if they feel you are suitable for the role. -
I have to agree, you are dead right they do control. But who gets all the wealth, I am aware that they pay **** loads towards the church and the committment is unswaying. I am going to say something that may not be quite PC. Are they trying to breed a pure race? The reason for this is I was once told by a high ranking member in the South Yorks area that anyone is welcome to marry into or join the Breterhen, but they must walk the walk and talk the talk. Anyone got any thoughts???

They have computerised invoices and statements, however, they are not created by themselves or anyone in their employ. They can have fax machines on site aswell as computers but they cannot own or physically use them. The people who do are self employed or contractors who should be supplying an invoice for all hours and or services worked. What about this then; their kids. They go to a normal school upto the age of say 10-11, then they go to a specially run school for EB children. What about the kids life after talking with other kids about television programmes and news and games etc. The poor b------s must have a terrible time, being picked on 'cause they can't talk about TV progs etc. What life is this in this modern age? The other funny thing is they (adults) all look the same..............

Recruitment Consultant - what does it entail?
Recruitguru replied to Benno's topic in Sheffield Business & Employment
Yeah, some of the 'HIGH ST.' agencies do have a set philosophy, yes you could call them pimps and yes they can do what they want, not what the candidate wants or indeed needs. Ther is another side though; the independants. Those companies who have one or two branches. These guys have to work very hard to convince potential clients that they can offer an enhanced level of service compared to the 'High St' agencies. From a candidates point of view there is a more personal service, you are treat like an item on a production line. You should be hand led through the process of registration, not pushed through. You should feel comfortable with your consultant not pressurised. OK maybe these independants don't have the money to advertise in the national press, TV and radio, but there presence is being felt by the big boys because of the higher levels of service that they offer. If you are looking for a career within the recruitment industry it's worth logging on to recruitments governing bodies web-site. http://WWW.REC.CO.UK. Look at local memebers in your area and apply to them. If they are abiding by the REC's 'Code of Practice', you will get proper ongoing training and development, career progression and one hell of job. At your level, trainee, you could expect to be offered a basic of anything from £12K to £20K depending where you live. If you need further advice send me PM. -

Job descriptions...and other tasks
Recruitguru replied to Twitcher's topic in Sheffield Business & Employment
Can you imagine a contract of employment that stated everything you do in your work on a daily basis. It would be huge. Most statements, or contracts, of employment mention' "resonable tasks pertaining to the succesful execution of your job, may from time to time be expected". There are loads of employees out there who make cups of tea, clean their desks, hoover etc, etc. These duties are not mentioned in their jobs desc!! -
What does OTE stand for?
Recruitguru replied to missrabbit's topic in Sheffield Business & Employment
bladesufc1 is not right at all. On Target Earnings means exactly that; if you hit your target that is waht you will get (Topline before Tax and NI). I have not read all the comments, but could you tell me what type of job you are applying for, it may shed some light on the situation!!
