  1. Just a bump on this... Live near Halfway and options for my new commute to Morley in Derbyshire is according to Google M1 and A38 30.4miles - 39 mins A38 -30.6miles 51 mins B6052, M1 and A38 -35.2 miles, 54mins Just wondered if anyone had an experience of these differing routes and if the A road is the best bet overall to avoid any of the aforementioned M1 nightmares at home time? I'm doing 9-5 but there could be flexibility to start early etc. Thanks very much
  2. Hello! Not sure if this helps - I was asked to write a blog with a list of the films that are on terrestrial TV over Christmas 2012 - including Christmas Eve, Christmas day, boxing day and the 27th -here is the link. (Not much on I'm afraid... Well for me at least - Although Boxing day isn't too bad!) If you want TV listings though I don't think I could help! : ) What's On TV Over Christmas 2012
  3. Oh definitely- its £18 a week with park and ride i think. That's less than half a tank of fuel Brilliant, thanks!
  4. Heilcopter? I wish. Just need that landing pad. Okay, tram seems to be the consensus. Thanks all. Always helpful on here.
  5. free parking at work...but i do agree that the tram will be cheaper all round! Just checking its timely. I've never been on one despite living here for about 7 years!
  6. Hello. just wondered if anyone knew the best way to get to Shalesmoor from Halfway? I am considering the tram, but am thinking that as cars drive on the same tracks, it might be a bit delayed from the proposed times! Any advice? OR in the car: Would it be worth driving past ridgeway, over past the blackstock and then down near bramall lane, up again to the big roundabout and up to west street/ sheffield uni way? estimating it would be about 40 mins? Or would it be better to try tackle it using the main roads - crystal peaks, and then parkway?? I need to be at work for 9 and to leave at 5, standard. Sadly i don't have time to try all the options out, so if you have any advice, it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  7. They'll make a hack out of you yet! That's sad news. Hope it all worked out okay. Peered out my curtain to be greeted with everyone on my street doing the same.
  8. Any ideas what was going on? Thought it was about to land on my roof it was so low!
  9. Thanks; I have checked that website but it doesn't show the stops..
  10. Hello! Just wondering if anyone knew of a bus route from killamarsh to around brammall lane? x
  11. Anyone seen any 'fluff' for sale in sheffield? Marshmallow in a jar. I usually get mine from Nottingham!
  12. Is there a circus going up nearby bakewell? Had a google but no other clues...
  13. Those are the worst kind of decisions! Thanks for everyone who gave input.
  14. 53mpg. Suppose if the traffics fine and the trains are fine then like you have said, just all down to the money after that...
  15. Could do that from Dore to wakey...Trying to google if the commuter trains are reliable...nothing so far- perhaps no news is good news : )
