  1. Great Tuesday nights at Nether Edge Hall. With regards to the Heartbeat, Tuesdays and Sunday nights were the most popular for us and Saturdays we usually ended up at the Top Rank after visiting the Buccaneer and the Claymore. From about 1974 onwards the Craisy Daisy was our popular haunt. Happy days!
  2. No details of bus routes etc yet. Will let you if I hear. Regards
  3. Yes I was also at that match, very emotional indeed! UTO
  4. Saw this website and it brought back some nostalgic memories. Does anybody else remember Pasquale or of anybody else that won these competitions? http://www.worldbeersguide.com/yard-of-ale/
  5. Saw some great acts in Baileys in the 70's including Showaddy Waddy, Gerry and the Pacemakers and Lyndsey de Paul. Went a bit down hill in the later years.
  6. He is on the front cover of the Dirty Stop Out Guide Book 1970's, judging a gogo competition in the Penny Farthing.
  7. When he was manager at Matlock in 1974, he asked for potential players to come for a trial one evening and about 200 turned up. Impossible to get a look in even if you were any good!
  8. I'm sure it was him that I saw in the Marples Pub around 1971. Myself and my pals all thought it was a stripper with a hell of a figure, until the bra got removed!
  9. Great time there last year, will certainly be there again.
