  1. Of cause people's opinions however formed can be wrong. You are deluded, because no opinions have been been proved as facts and nobody has been proved correct or wrong.
  2. Fair comment. I think common sense is developed as a consequence of life experiences, observations and is a kind of instinct. We say trust your instinct, but an instinct isn't always correct. ---------- Post added 25-01-2017 at 17:00 ---------- I think you confuse yourself by over analysing comments and throwing common sense out of the window at the same time.
  3. Life would be boring, if we all shared the same opinions. Life is good and it is a blessing, that the inadequate, gain deluded satisfaction from kidding themselves, that anyone with an opposite opinion to themselves is stupid.
  4. People don't have to provide evidence to voice an opinion. Common sense is a good basis for a person to have a view or opinion on any topic. A person can state an opinion, without it being a fact. I think you are confusing opinions with facts. For someone to state a fact, then they should provide evidence to support a fact, if they are challenged, but no evidence is needed to support an opinion. You seem to have a problem with other posters, who have different opinions to you on this subject. That is just my opinion.
  5. I don't doubt your motives are good and I hope the item raises a good amount of money for you worthy cause.
  6. If a second opinion also tells you the same, then it is time to believe.
  7. Well summed up. There seem to be a few people still determined to follow in the footsteps of Comical Ali.
  8. No worries if you didn't understand my point about the time issue. The devolution issue regarding the UK leaving the EU has been settled, therefore your point about taxpayer's money being wasted is very weak to be fair.
  9. There is nothing for anyone to rage about. Let's see how the MPs vote. My guess is Article 50 will be triggered before the end of March, this year.
  10. And there is nothing Nicola Sturgeon can do to prevent the UK leaving the EU.
  11. :help: ... I meant the process of leaving the EU. The UK couldn't have left the EU on 24th June 2016.
  12. The time scale hasn't help. When there is a change in Government, there is no delay and the new administration starts work the next day. ---------- Post added 24-01-2017 at 08:58 ---------- Exactly .............
  13. I don't propose anything. As I stated earlier, I think the current system works fine and was only looking at the presumption of innocence in a court environment, from a different angle. Any changes would be too confusing for some to understand, so best to leave well alone.
  14. It might be good for our society, if less 'guilty' people are found not guilty as a consequence of the current system.
  15. People would still be 'innocent until proven guilty' unless they get charged with a crime, then it would be up to a jury to decide if there is reasonable doubt they are not guilty.
  16. Cliff Richard was never charged with any crimes, because there was no evidence to do so. It would still be up to a jury to deliver a verdict, if the OP's suggestion was implemented. I don't understand why people are assuming, that people could just make things up about others and the Police would just believe them. Cliff Richard was treated disgracefully, but that is really irrelevant to the discussion.
  17. There would have to be some real evidence to charge him. In fact the criteria for bringing cases could the altered, to make sure the evidence had to be much stronger to charge someone. I think the current system works fine, but I have an open mind and may be convinced for a change.
  18. Someone would obviously have to be charged with a crime, in the normal way. Have you no common sense ?
  19. You assume correctly. We are both retired now, so I have no worries on that score. I normally manage to play golf once a week. I don't play with the same partner every week and my wife always asks if I had a good round and who I played with, when I get home. My wife doesn't mind if it is George or John, but one week, when I said I had to play with Gloria, she wasn't happy. I think, if I was bisexual, then I would have to give up golf or worse still, would have to play with the wife. ---------- Post added 21-01-2017 at 21:04 ---------- Nothing you have said has persuaded me to change my opinions. I have no worries, if you don't agree with any of my comments.
  20. Ok, just for fun lets look at the situation from another angle. Would an homosexual man be worried that a bisexual man might cheat on him, by having a relationship with a women ? For example another bisexual man in the same work place I mentioned earlier, might be tempted to start another relationship with a female work colleague, assuming their is a mutual attraction.
  21. Of course the fact that bisexual men are more likely to cheat than bisexual women has something to do with a discussion of this nature. You have proved nothing is wrong. I am not arguing for or against anything, but like you, just posting my opinions in a discussion forum.
