  1. I am currently a trainee on the Single Pitch Award (SPA), run by the British Mountaineering Council. Before my full assessment, I'm required to gain a certain amount of days building up my teaching experience. So here's where you come in! I can offer FREE(!) coaching days, for either complete beginners or more experienced climbers. Have you never climbed before and do you want to try out climbing indoors or outdoors? Have you been climbing indoors for a while and want to try getting out on rock? Have you climbed outside before but now want to set up your own topropes or abseil safely? Do you just want to have a great day out in beautiful surroundings? All sessions will be completely tailored to your experience and needs, and can be delivered to individuals, pairs, or smaller groups - and to either adults or (supervised) kids too. Equipment can be provided, all you need to do is dress for the weather and get yourself to whichever venue we're using. I'm based in Sheffield, so would usually suggest sessions be based in the Peak District, but I can travel a little further afield if necessary. I have a full enhanced CRB certificate, and a current Outdoor First Aid certificate (though we won't be needing that!). drop me a private message if you're interested and we can sort something out ---------- Post added 27-02-2013 at 08:55 ---------- Thanks for all PMs, have just replied... Still a few slots left so feel free to get in touch J
  2. Hi there, could definitely be interested. I'm a bassist: range of influences from ambient, to postpunk and lots of stuff in between. Drop me an email on [email protected] if you're interested and we can sort something out from there Cheers Jim
  3. Hi, and thanks to the folks that replied - can't reply as haven't got enough posts. This'll go towards the 5 posts required I guess, or if you're reading and want to get in touch, then qpunkfolk (at) aol dot co dot uk would work too Cheers jim
  4. Hi there, ta for reading. Been learning bass for a while now, but feeling the need to play with other people now to keep my interest up and get stuck into something new. Looking to meet up with anyone else to jam/bash through some covers, with a view to gigging at some point in the future. Inexperience is fine! I'm 32, and into a wide range of stuff, inc. Fugazi, Minutemen, Sonic Youth, Gaslight Anthem, Rancid, Op ivy, Talking Heads plus lots more and no fixed ideas on any particular project/style. Got transport and kit - looking to commit to one night a week after work. Cheers, drop me a message if it sounds good and we'll see what we can sort Jim
