This was meant to be a simple topic of discussion which was posted with a tinge of humour. This seems to be beyond some people's apprehension. I was asking for opinions and i find some of the personal insults and accusations quite appalling and offensive. i thought this country had fought for freedom of speech. If folks were able to hold a proper discussion without having to resort to nasty insults this world would be a better place.

Apparantly pig meat is the nearest thing to human meat! Thats why i only eat mine smoked. My ham and bacon i mean. i don't ever eat humans, even those that smoke!

It is wrong that I found this thread hilarous? I would point out I have a pet dog who is loved and well cared for but lets face it once your dead your dead!

I used to have my "straggle" haircut by Ena. I can still smell the perm solution from all the old ladies she was doing at the same time. We used to call them cauliflower heads.

I remember corsey edge! And if you was falling out with any other kids you used to tell em to get off your front and the response was always its not yours it's the councils!!!! -and where I lived (on the cross) there was a young lad who used to shout to anyone cycling past to get off and milk it!! To this day I don't get that one.

Just reading through these and laughing out loud. My mother bought all our shoes from langtons and undies from davidsons, they were stored in little drawers. Does anyone recall the hairdresser on Chaucer I think her name was Ena?
