hi i am a filmmaker currently shooting a movie in sheffield and require some rat look vehicles for a days shoot, i remember seeing a thread on here a while back with people discussing rat look cars in the sheffield area. anyone got a cool rat look car/bike/buggy/vehicle try would want to be featured in a feature film?

I am a sheffield independent film maker, half way through a feature film and currently building a set that requires lots of plastic polythene, doesnt matter what color and can collect from anywere in sheffield the kinda stuff you get your new sofa wrapped in, anyone has any rolls/offcuts that would be great, needs lots to dress one of the sets for my movie cheers! we are Currently shooting a Feature Film in Sheffield, and require a location for a scene to be shot in the next 6 weeks. Advertising on the Sheffield forum, has previously been very successful and has secured us some great locations for previous shoot. For this particular scene, we need to secure anything we can make look like a science warehouse or anything industrial/ factory looking, this has to be an indoor location. we also require a corridor in the building for some initial shots. this would be a 1 day shoot. This is a Sci-Fi movie, so please let us know if you think you have anything fitting. Thanks Theo

I am an independent film maker from Sheffield and I am currently making a feature length martial arts action film. We have been making it for 2 years and we are currently in the last 6 months of production. One of our scenes requires a couple of days to be filmed in a scrapyard preferably with a couple smashed up cars. We are obviously willing to pay you something for the days we shoot will sign contracts that if there was any accidents on set (there never is) that the owner of the land is not liable ect. Pretty standard stuff and everyone we have worked with previously and hired their locations have been happy with this agreement. Also anyone else with warehouse/industrial/labortory looking locations that you think could be a good location for filming in Sheffield or the surrounding areas please get in touch. Thanks Theo.

I use to work for currys deliver centre knowhow on parkway. Yodel/DHL are the buggest pile of **** courier company ever they loose around 500 parels a day! (no joke) i can give u a hundred examples why u shud never use them! I have had drivers stealing parcels, if a parcel does go missin you have to wait 14 days before they can declair it lost and send a new one, there call centre agents never call back when they say there gonna trace a delvery up. They are ****! DPD however are very good an helpfull! Never had problems with them in 2 years of workin there!

Hi, I am a film maker from Sheffield, and have spent the last 6 months working hard on a documentary that i am just putting the finishing touches on, it is a feature length documented, and although i cant yet disclose what the actual genre of the doc is and what the story is it covers, i can let you know its completely filmed in Sheffield, and would be something i hope the people of not only Sheffield but anyone with a remote interest in this kind of thing find interesting and entertaining, i wanted to know if anyone has any advice, or knowledge of anyone i could speak to about getting it distributed, or anyone that buys documentaries/independent films for TV ect? i know i have been quite vague as to what its about ect, but i have to be at the minuet, as i don't want to leak out any info of something i currently have no copyright over ect thanks Theo

have just been notified that an event we have had organised for 4 whole months has had our venue cancelled at the last Minuit, URGENTLY needing a venue for the sheffield DONT FLOP rap battle league we are talking 150 CONFIRMED GUESTS! who ever takes this will be guaranteed to make a killing on the bar, We need to event to run from 1pm - 6pm/7pm but this can obviously be negotiated considering how desperate we are. IF ANYONE CAN HELP PLEASE MESSAGE ME ASAP, IT IS CRUCIAL WE GET A VENUE AS WE HAVE BEEN PREPPING THIS FOR 4 MONTHS AND HAVE JUST BEEN LET DOWN NOW!! Search 'dont flop rap battles' on youtube for an idea of the numbers we draw in, we have people travelling form all over the country for the event including ireland!! we require nothing more than a room with a bar, and a set up for the DJ to spin music between battles, and this is acapella battling NO MIC SET UP NEEDED!
