pitsmoor boy
Hi. I knew a Terry Wrigglesworth of Pitsmoor, I went to shool with him i think (Burngreave) or it might be that i knew him in the Boys Brigade (All saints Church top of Sutherland street) or both, definitetly knew as a lad. But i guess i am 5 years to late with this reply. Les Johnson (Late of Forncett Street, Pitsmoor)
Texas
Yep, I remember him from school, he wasn't a close mate, so to speak, but it's nice to know he's still around.
pitsmoor boy
Wonder if any other people from that era are around on this forum. I went to Ellesmere road junior school, failed 11 plus went to Burngreave. Teachers i remember Whittingham ? (ginger haired chap,) "Bogy" Rogers music teacher and deputy head, Edlington Head teacher, "Nev" Reaney English teacher, top bloke. Metal work teacher, can,t remember his name, drove a bubble car. Albaha, gruesome bloke. People i remember. Ben Smith (cocky sod) Robert Booker (Was in New Zeland) Alan Gill (class bully) Mates were Les Redfearn, Stuart hacket, Len Green (was on the buses in Sheff) Nevile Hiley, Ronnie Fox, Craig Sliegh. I lived on Forncett Street as did Len green. Only ever heard from Robert Booker once then lost contact. Some people might remember my sisters Sylvia, Florence, Rita in descending order of age. Alan Gill went to All Saints Junior School. He was a bit handy there as well. I was in the same class as his elder brother Mick, nice lad. Were you one of the Ellesmere Road kids that came up to All Saints to snowball us pitsmoor boy?
