SheffieldForum 946 #1 Posted March 23 Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust’s popular ‘Wild Play’ family events are back for Easter. Got kids / grandkids? These are brilliant for them to get out and experience fun in nature whilst learning about wildlife and more. The events start at the JG Graves Woodland Discovery Centre in Ecclesall Woods (off Abbey Lane). Be quick though — these events do sell out really fast! Details: Easter Wild Play is back! Join us for our fun packed family woodland adventure, perfect for children approximately 3-9 yrs old. Younger siblings may attend for free with a paying child but we don't expect them to participate (because the activities are not aimed at their age group). You only need to book a ticket for the participating children, but adults must stay too. Although we're in the woods, its best to leave your dogs at home please. The event is 2 hours and is totally outside whatever the weather, so prepare for woodland conditions. We try to set off on our adventure promptly so please make sure to arrive on time so you're not left behind! Booking is essential and only complete once payment has been made. Facilities and parking: There are public toilets and a car park at the Discovery Centre. If it is full, we politely ask you NOT to park on any roadside verges on Abbey Lane, please park around the corner on Whirlowdale Road, and walk to the entrance. Allow an extra few minutes for this. If you have a question, please call 0114 263 4335 or email [email protected] Please note: The woodland is not accessible and usually involves crossing a small stream with muddy banks (we can help you with a pram if needed).
