louca001 Â Â 10 #1 Posted January 31, 2018 Did anyone else see and object burning up in the nights sky on Monday the 29th of January at approximately 18:27 Â I was stood in Chapeltown looking almost directly south and saw something moving quite fast and bright before vanishing / burning out. Â Just thought I'd check
 Share this content via...
InigoMontoya   10 #2 Posted January 31, 2018 ISS tracked SW-SE before disappearing into shadow at 18:32?  http://www.meteorwatch.org/uk-iss-passes-february-2018.html
 Share this content via...
BigRstar88   10 #3 Posted January 31, 2018 I was walking to the car with my kids when I saw it in Shiregreen. Lasted a few seconds longer than I’ve ever seen a shooting star last but did burn out. Was a good sight though and kids liked it too.
 Share this content via...
SHFS6 Â Â 10 #4 Posted January 31, 2018 Yes I saw it too, it very impressive, had just left work and I was looking from Scotland Street down in the direction of West bar. Â Lasted about two seconds and must have been fairly substantial as had a visible tail. Was orange in colour for those that are interested in these things. Â Definitely the biggest I've ever seen
 Share this content via...
louca001   10 #5 Posted January 31, 2018 ISS tracked SW-SE before disappearing into shadow at 18:32? http://www.meteorwatch.org/uk-iss-passes-february-2018.html   I don't think so, I've seen the ISS loads of times and it wasn't that. Way faster and defiantly fizzled up mid sky rather than going out of view.  Good call though
 Share this content via...
