Stoatwobbler   10 #109 Posted November 25, 2010 The Sheaf View, Heeley is by far the best pub in sheffield. Not one Commercialised mass produced or American larger on sale. Just good beer !!  Good choice. A lot of the best things about Kelham Island pubs but with more locals and less tickers.  2 other pubs I would mention are the Wellington and the Sheffield Tap. gavme   10 #110 Posted November 25, 2010 The Hadfield is my favourite, followed by The Nelson.
 Share this content via...
martin1print   10 #111 Posted December 5, 2010 (edited) Got to be Bankers Draft because of all the interesting characters you meet in there. Was in there on Saturday night and made a new friend called "slasher Bob". He's a bit eccentric and likes to draw attention to himself by stabbing his neck with a carving fork. He talks for ages about the history of his bowel movements and I was a bit thrown off balance when he told me he worked hard in the market but always skipped work once a year to commemorate the Yorkshire Ripper's birthday. I'm beginning to wish I didn't invite him round for Christmas dinner now. - no, seriously, Princess Royal, Slinn Street Crookes. The new management have made a real go of it and have a friendly crowd most nights. Edited December 5, 2010 by martin1print
 Share this content via...
