Getting rid of brambles

Does anybody know how I could deal with a garden full of brambles? I am unable to dig them out as the garden has walls and rocks they are growing through.

I put some deep root weedkiller on mine last year, its knocked them back, and prevented them growing for another year. This year I am having someone to rotovate the garden, some of the brambles roots are starting to grow again, but I am hoping that the rotovator, and the application of weed killer on the leaves will kill them off eventually - you can but hope.

i can spray them with industrial weed killer not the rubbish you get at b n q ..
