AshleyC Â Â 10 #13 Posted April 22, 2013 Not really as although fares went up, subsidy through your council tax was reduced much significantly. They have to recoup the operating costs somehow! Â I heard there has been some speculation that the Coalition might remove subsidies to councils that help them maintain concessionary fares for better-off pensioners. Â ---------- Post added 22-04-2013 at 16:13 ---------- Â I was at Sheffield for my undergraduate degree. Endcliffe was the furthest halls of residence, and it was only a 15 - 20 minute walk. Where do you live that means you NEED to get the bus? Â Ranmoor I am staying. It is further away from Endcliffe and it takes me at least 30 mins to walk to uni (I am not crawling) I mean it's alright for me to walk to school in the day but just dont feel like walking at night, especially when I finish studying in the IC. It can already be 8 or 9.
 Share this content via...
