pottedplant   10 #13 Posted January 30, 2013 What about an Ambulance, thats what they are for for people who cannot walk.  What ridiculous advice.  Someone could be having a heart attack or a stroke and in need of that ambulance. This type of "just get an ambulance" attitude really makes my blood boil.  ---------- Post added 30-01-2013 at 09:17 ----------  Haven't been, last year I strained the same ligament, went to a&e for 2 hours was given some nurofen and told to go to my docs in 2 weeks after the swelling goes down. No point in wasting their time & mine when they'll only tell me the same now. This time though I can't walk at all so could do with some crutches,I'm 6foot 5 though so need some tall ones! Cheers Ps it's northern  Would these help:  http://www.wickermobilityshop.co.uk/
 Share this content via...

I must have missed it.
 Share this content via...

Daven   10 #20 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) What about an Ambulance, thats what they are for for people who cannot walk.  No they aren't. To the OP - unless you have been properly assessed by someone medically trained it's not safe for you to use crutches. Despite the fact you think it's a reoccurance of the origonal injury it could be something more serious such as a thrombosis which is more common than you may think and can be life threatening. Seek medical attention asap to be on the safe side. Regards Edited January 30, 2013 by Daven
 Share this content via...

Daven   10 #22 Posted January 30, 2013 Yes your right 'oops i forgot'  I am right. Ambulances aren't a taxi service. They are emergency response vehicles for people suffering life threatening illnesses or injuries.
 Share this content via...
