yodan4 Â Â 10 #1 Posted January 5, 2013 Recently set up a Business that now requires the ability to take payment by Credit/Debit card, does anybody have any recommendations as the few quotes I have had seem to be a rip off with the charges ? Also can the machines be used to take payments for other business payments (if I started a second business for example) ?
 Share this content via...
Bestman   11 #2 Posted January 6, 2013 You won't get much change out of £30 per month. Putting payments to a second business, or personal payments through another business's accounts is a bit dodgy, your accountant will hate it! You may also have to explain to VAT man how these sales aren't really sales. If you do get a terminal then please make sure you change the preset login password which is usually 99999. This will prevent anyone from processing refunds if they get access to the terminal. However don't forget the new password. If you do you will be charged for a new terminal! life changer   10 #7 Posted January 16, 2013 of course it depends on the amount of transaction you will be having but 3.3 % and 63p is very expensive most business would rather pay the monthly standing charges and have alot lower percentages on each transaction
 Share this content via...
