I'm rational, I tend to weigh things up - for the cancer thing to be untrue would mean there was a massive conspiracy involving hundereds of people. That's really very very improbable indeed. If you choose to maintain a fictional viewpoint in the absence of anything more sensible that that he's lied about other things, bully for you. I'll still with reason, thanks.
