Now then. Anyone good at blogging?

I kinda gave up on mine, I never realised it would be such a commitment.

My advice is to keep on posting, and plug it on facebook and on Twitter. Twitter especially is such a good tool for networking, get an account, find some friends (by searching for subjects like writing, blogging, and poetry) and then plug your site. Don't be ashamed of sending messages out informing your followers of what is on your site.

I have a blog at http://www.blogger.com but it's got too much personal stuff like rants and stuff to link to on here, I used to have a Livejournal.com account but I stopped filling it in when I forgot the log in details.

Writing stuff is not difficult for me as I used to be a technical writer and there is a lot to say about the part of the world where I live. I know that lots of blokes would like to do what I did if only I could get to them and get them to read my stuff. That's what I don't know how to do. I read about pings and stuff and have no idea whet they are. How do YOU get people to read and follow your rants?

Follow others with similar blogs to yours and frequently comment on their new posts. Tell friends and others who are interested in the subject of your blog. Do a few posts at one time and set a couple up to post at a scheduled date in the future. Use good photos.

Well now, I need to ask you something. I went to http://poems.livejournal.com/ and can see no way to leave a comment or entry. Does one have to join the community before doing anything? That could get to be a pain.
