carterb   10 #1 Posted June 10, 2010 My letting agents for the house I rent are the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with and have a string of !!!! ups over the last year. The landlord is now selling the house and twice in the last week someone has come round unannounced expecting to be shown round after the letting agents told them to come round(Yes they want the previous tenant to sell the house for them, rather than coming to do it themselves).  Having complained and lost my rag at them before, I know they will do NOTHING in response. I want to know who their regulatory body is and how I make a complaint about them, so the next time they !!!! up I can threaten to take it to their regulator not them.  Anyone know who Im looking for/what I need to do? Brix26 Â Â 10 #2 Posted June 10, 2010 Unfortunately they may not be regulated. By anybody. Â Are there any logos (ARLA etc.) on their website or paperwork? Put it in writing that they must give you 24 hours notice of any intended viewings, and you are not willing to carry out un-accompanied viewings; they must send an agent. Â If they haven't given notice (which they clearly haven't) and someone knocks at the door, tell the viewer you were not aware and send them away.
