Babooshka
St Columba's Play Group in Crosspool (Manchester Rd) is holding a Children's Bazaar on 6th March (1030am til 2pm) in order to raise funds for the play group. Invitation open to all. Stalls will include children's second hand clothes, maternity wear, toys and books, face-painting, general book sale, raffle and lucky dip, tea, coffee/cake refreshments. Please come along and support the group. For those of you who wish to spring clean your children's rooms and make a bit of money in the process, we invite you to bring your items IN ADVANCE to me, complete with a DETATCHABLE label detailing a brief description of the item, the price, and also your own individual code (which we shall provide to you). All the items will be displayed, and once sold, your labels will be retained. The committee will tot up how much you have sold and give you 70% of the money (the play group keeping just 30%). Items which are not sold will be returned to you. Please PM me for further details, and to register interest. Many thanks. Babooshka
Thanks to anyone who supported this event in any way. We made just under £600. We do have a lot of clothes etc that were donated to the cause. We were wondering if there is a charity out there which supports homeless mothers etc who may be able to use these items. They are all good quality items. PM me if you have any suggestions. We also have a pram going free.
Plain Talker
Babooshka, Women's Aid might be able to make use of the surplus clothing. or there's a refuge in the s10 area which might be grateful for them. (contact St Thomas Church, Nairn St for the contact details?) And well done for raising that much money.
