Ghost walk, Wadsley common.

Recommended Posts

Anyone else go on this evenings ghost walk on Wadsley Common? We did and I thought the people that arranged it deserve a pat on the back. It was very informative and also a tad scary for the kids, well not for the loud mouth ones which were trying to spoil the stories but overall well worth going.

well I found out that the accomplice (John Oxley) of sheffield Highwayman Spence Broughton was found dead on Wadsley Common, I believe it was called Loxley Moor then.

I've played footy up there in the '70's for a Sunday league team and it was pretty scary - sheep on the pitch - grass sods as big as pineapples - horizontal sleet / snow / rain - the howling of headless banshees (home team fans) :D:D:D
