Cupes68 Â Â 10 #1 Posted April 16, 2009 (edited) Does anyone have a contact number to get in touch with regarding the Railway Siding between Junction Road and Retford Road in Woodhouse?? Â I walk my dog down there in the evenings and its so uneven im going to end up breaking my <removed> neck!! Â There's also a lot of old people who use the path and it's a bit dodgy for them too!! Â I just wondered who i would get in touch with to get it re-surfaced or even a bit of lighting would do!!! Â Any help will be greatfully accepted. Strix   11 #2 Posted April 16, 2009 I'd contact the council and network rail - it's going to be one or the other
 Share this content via...
Captain_Scarlet   10 #3 Posted April 16, 2009 It is not permitted to walk on sidings. If you mean the adjoining path the Council ought to be responsible for it. To get things going, contact one of your local councillors, arrange to meet him/her and visit the site, take pictures and get the councillor to contact council with the photographed evidence. Should get things moving.
 Share this content via...
Strix   11 #4 Posted April 16, 2009 it's actually called station road. Station Road used to run from the top of the hill in woodhouse, down to the junction pub, then take a left across the front of the station, but it now has bollards in the middle of the station-junction pub section... presumably because pulling out onto retford road with the bridge situated where it is would be rather dangerous (not to mention the whole issue of turning right from retford road into station road)
 Share this content via...

Strix   11 #12 Posted April 16, 2009 whilst you're writing your letter, perhaps you could suggest the council install a dog bin at either end
 Share this content via...
