beady
Would Elsecar Heritage Centre be any good to you - loads to see - free entry and parking and in particular a few bob gets the young 'un into a brill adventure playground - all warm and under cover and grown-ups can 'help' if you want to - often see them enjoying it more than the kids. You have the olde worlde heritage for you + shops, old vehicles/fire appliances, cafes, train (if it's running) - loads to see and do! Would have recommended Canon Hall Farm as well if it wasn't for the probs you've explained. Have a good weekend whatever you decide.
