espadrille   10 #1 Posted January 6, 2009 I am really pleased that I have a testimonial on one of my websites from a Dr!!  Check out the feedback at http://www.aspergerawareness.co.uk  I know many of you will want to comment on the fact that my website could be better, but I am not spending money on that at the moment as it is quite high up in searches anyway and funds are going out as they come in as I step up my PR campaign. I just thought it was good to get such positive feedback
 Share this content via...
indizine   10 #2 Posted January 6, 2009 Visually, your site looks fine, and a damn site better than many I see. Like you've said, concentrate on the seo side is what matters.
 Share this content via...
abbasinho   10 #3 Posted January 6, 2009 Searching for 'asperger awareness' in Google you rank fourth, after a YouTube video, a CafePress t-shirt and a USA Today news story. So you're the first specific Asperger awareness website on the list.  That's brilliant for you as your site deals with a specific topic instead of a number of topics, so I wouldn't worry too much about SEO at this stage, SEO is not the be-all and end-all. As you've proved you can climb the rankings with very little, if any, optimization. Being the first specific site on the list almost guarentees a high volume of traffic and a consistant, high ranking anyway.  The only thing I can see at the moment is that you're styling a lot of your HTML internally instead of linking to an external style sheet.  Apart from that, you're ranking high and you're site has been endorsed by a doctor - so you're on a roll. OM@More   10 #5 Posted January 6, 2009 That's a great quote - I'd suggest adding a date after the doctors name, the fact that it's recent gives it even more credibility. I'd even consider moving it to your home page.  Your other testimonials could do with names and dates too in my opinion.  One last thing - I don't think you need the line 'Areas of our site are still under construction, so please keep returning.' it starts things off on a back foot and you should be proud of what you are providing already. OM@More   10 #6 Posted January 6, 2009 Just thinking about this some more - Is this doctor a specialist, consultant or GP?  I think it would be worth giving him his full title, even the correct letters after his name, all that stuff
 Share this content via...

big_g   10 #8 Posted January 7, 2009 I think that your site looks fine - looks crisp rather than flashy.  One bit of advice, don't have your email as a link - you'll be spammed out once the web-bots have found you. At the least use an image or a contact form.  G
 Share this content via...
