Eric_Collins
I have a budget of around £300 without postage or cash back. I have seen body only 1000D for £297 (with cashback new) I have seen full kit 400D for £300 (ebay new in wrapper) I have lens already for the 100D. Now which would you go for, as I need to get one pretty quick due to holiday on 11th Oct.
Eric_Collins
Had a ponder and a massive look on some review sites and ...... The canon 400D can be found NEW for £275 according to Google shopping as it's a discontinued model ( which about a year old) There is a 1000D on the market at £320+ £30 cash back from canon so £290. The 1000D is more of a 'play' camera and the 400D is a Semi Pro/Skilled type. I'm going for the 400D.
g0thicuk
I've got a 450d which isnt a massive step up from the 400d, and I absolutley love it, gives great pictures and low noise. Also a full kit is very tempting over just a body, I'd personally go for the 400d, but have a look at different reviews on websites and in magaizines, youve gotta love your camera so it has to be the one you think you'll work best with
mattsando
400D has never been 'semi-pro'. Get a second hand 20D or 30D.
