If it is a lot less than your renewal quote, phone up and tell them, if nothing is done contact The Insurance Ombudsman.  well I wish I`d read this before!! my car was hit at a supermarket, I wasnt even in at the time, had 9 years no claims and yet on renewal had gone up hugely, I did try to agrue the point but got nowhere. It is usually not transferable and your premium will probably go up at your current insurer anyway if you stick with them. Easy money for the insurers.
