proofreader
Hi I have not long moved to Sheffield and have just realised that my passport is still registered at my old address. Does anyone know if I have to change this, and if so how do I do it? eg. do I need to post my passport off and pay for the admin or can it be done online? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Chopsie
I didn't think your address was on your passport?
proofreader
No, I don't think it is but someone said that I still had to update the contact details for it. Hmmmmmmmmm.
Chopsie
I think all you need to change is the 'emergency contact' bit on the passport itself, rather than contact UKPA. Just put a sticker over it. My passport is 8 years old, but my OH got a new one last year, and it's the same as mine.
cgksheff
Do I need to inform you of any changes to my address? No. Currently, you do not need to inform the Identity and Passport Service when you change your address. http://www.ips.gov.uk/passport/faqs-general-changeaddress.asp
