  1. The route is virtually unchanged but the restrictions caused by the underpasses have been removed by staying at road level. There is no limit at all now, and 7000 is just an estimate of the numbers for 2012. Entry closing date is May 15th, but late entries will be accepted with a £3 surcharge up to May 24th, and race packs for late entries must be collected from Don Valley Stadium 26th May (3pm-5pm) or 27th May from 7am.
  2. Hi All The race organisers require all runners exchanging places to notify them using the Swap Form on the race website sheffieldmarathon.com . The police and other emergency services insist that they have an accurate list of all runners for obvious reasons. Ian (organising team)
  3. Hi Gez Anyone who takes over someone else's entry must inform the race organiser so that the race pack etc goes the correct person. Also the police insist on this in case of an emergency. Easiest done by going to the Sheffield Half Marathon website and clicking on the 'Swap Entries' feature. Good luck in your search Ian Thomas (organising team)
  4. Hi I am the guy looking after the entry list and I endorse everything that franniepan has stated about transfers of race places. As well as emergency treatment being affected, prizes and certificates could be wrongly allocated. (We sent two prize packages to the wrong people in 2009) Each race pack has a transfer form inside, and the website has a transfer email on our website. Please ensure I know about your transfer.
