Yes, it's true, I do have a full Karaoke set-up now, but it's only there if anyone actually asks for it. It is not the main focus of the night. The main focus being music the punters want. Not themed nights or party nights, not one genre of music all flippin' night, just a good old (not THAT old lol) DJ who knows what he's doing. A bit of banter, a bit of frivolity and a lot of music. So check it out and see for yourself. If it doesn't do what it says on the tin then there's always Andy at the Casbah.

I was going to the LIMIT as a kid back in the 80's I remember getting Newcastle Brown at 50p a pint in there. BTW - I'm the new DJ at the Nelson on a Wednesday and it's awesome!! You request it and I'll play it - still a Kylie-free zone though x

Aye, Andy and I go way back. It's not that I'm pushing the karaoke (I'll leave that up to the professionals), it's just that I have it if people request it. You'd be surprised how many people don't know that Andy's gone yet. Anyway, the idea of my night is to give people what they want - be it Glam, Goth, Old Skool, Dark, Nu-Metal or whatever. A good eclectic mix of what the audience wants. No two nights are ever the same.

Since Andy has left for pastures new (good luck dude) I have taken over the Wednesday night slot. Wednesdays have now been re-branded as "Mid Week Mayhem" with my good self playing pretty much anything and everything that is requested. There's still karaoke for anyone who fancies it too and always the possibility that someone will take up the 'Air Guitar Challenge' So come on down and kick off the mid week blues with me from 8pm til 11pm every Wednesday. Thank you so very much for the 4x4 driver who stopped and picked me up on The Parkway this afternoon and took me to the city centre. I'd already walked 8 miles to get to work in the morning and really wasn't looking forward to the rest of the return journey. You were a lifesaver x
