Thanks "exmrbd" I'll ring them again, cant remember a reference number being given though, may have been 1 of those days! myriad...I'm not bitter towards supposedly "more affluent" areas...because I thought I lived in 1!! Unfortunately, the Council seem to favour those areas. I'm only a mile and a half from the N.E. Derbyshire boarder maybe thats why they neglect the Mosborough/Sothall/Halfway areas?? On a different note my wheelie bin hasn't been emptied for 3 weeks, and the Council web page said it would be emptied yesterday...NOT! Just thank my lucky stars that I dont live at Kirklees as their Council make Sheffield look competant.

Hiya Rob...didn't know that Trevor had been in the Sun! I just remember him running upto me on Fargate, complete with handbag swinging, grabbing hold of me BIG mmmwahh & my poor Grandad nearly whalloping him...lol It's driving me mental the shop that used to be opposite the Fountain Bar that sold really great vintage clothes. I'm not doing too bad thanks...I was diagnosed with C.R.P.S. (type 1)(also known as Sudeck's atrophy) just before Xmas and have loads of tests, the MRI was horrid, waiting for a Metabollic Bone Scan now, but the tablets are kicking in :-). Hows you and Jordan?? Kristien's settled (thank God) has a girlfriend, of 18 months & working!!!!

I started going to The Limit, as a 13 year old, 1980 onwards(and they thought Mandy Rice was the original wild child), with my friend Sharon & her older brother Jimmy & his mates. The sicky/sticky floor epic & the "stage" was always full of beer! I remember the B52's/Heaven 17/ABC (yawn)/Carberet Volitaire/Gang of Four "I love a man in a uniform"/Joy Division/New Order/John Foxx/Vision/Japan etc....Guys dressed as Gals "Trevor the Transvesite" once borrowed my pillowbox red lippy! Fishnets, aubergine/black geometric hairdo's, Rebina shoes & the shop which was pulled down for Orchard Square redevelopment, whose name escapes me which sold 2nd hand clothes.....We used to drink Red Witches...we used to go to the Complete Angler now the Boardwalk/Marples/Stonehouse before The Limit.Then my Grandad (God Bless ya Bert) used to pick us all up at closing time in his van. There's never been or ever will be anything like it... Health & Safety wouldn't allow it!!! Hi to Dingo (Rob)...it's Nickie xxxxx;) Growing old is mandatory...Growing up is optional.

The dozens of Grit/Salt Bins are listed on the Sheffield City Council web site...locations of Salt Bins in your area, it lists the roads where the bins are supposed to be situated. I requested our only grit bin to be filled 4 weeks ago....still waiting:huh:

With reference to "Darth Vader" & his comments about Clive Betts....I live at Sothall and not miles away from civilisation, Crystal Peaks shopping centre is 2 miles away, and when I bought my house I did not expect to be snowed in for over a week due to Sheffield City Council mis-management and incompetance! I pay £1400 a year in Council Tax and regardless of where I live I also expect a level of service. We have 1 Grit/Salt Bin which is 3/4's of a mile away from my house and has been empty for 3 weeks, even though I & other residents have telephoned requesting it be refilled, I have requested another grit bin for the area, but this will not be present until Oct 2010, thats if they allow us another 1, as it is somewhat of a lottery. Greystones, has 33 Grit bins according to the Councils web site, and Fulwood, Crosspool have dozens. Clive Betts maybe touting for votes but he's absolutely correct with the South East of Sheffield being neglected. The 1 nad only bus route has not been gritted and it is like sheet glass. If the council reduce my council tax for the next year then they can leave us....but whilst ever I am paying the same if not more than North Sheffield areas I want a service!!!!
