  1. Been trying to edit my post to say the wool has been claimed, but can't seem to make it work! Sorry to anyone who's pm'd me in the past couple of days - I really thought it had been updated!
  2. I've got a pile of a variety of yarns - everything from random balls picked up on sale, to 10 skeins of good quality merino I picked up for a sweater and never got around to using. I'm moving to Canada in a week, and have no room to pack it all over with me. Anyone want, or know of any groups who could use? PM me if you like! -Ash
  3. Thanks Wool4brains! Guess it's time to buy myself some double pointed kneedles and give it a go!
  4. I'm glad other people are confused by them! I managed to knit most of a hat on them, but now I'm down to only a few stitches left at the top, and I can't figure out how to finish it - the stitches can't possibly stretch around enough to join back up. Any suggestions?
  5. Any suggestions of a garage for a basic service/MOT somewhere in or near S6? I know there are a lot on Penistone nearby, but not sure I want to gamble on picking one at random.
  6. They've given me a total runaround as well. Firstly they somehow, 2 months into my contract, changed the name on my account back to my maiden name (which I don't even remember giving them!), then (obviously) couldn't get direct debits from my account anymore, and, without contacting me, cut off my service. They then tried to charge me a £25 fee to transfer the account to another person when I asked to put it back into my married name. Second, they dicked me around when I tried to upgrade to HD - came to install at a time we hadn't agreed on, then after eventually installing it, immediately cut off my service because the £75 fee for the set box put me over my billing limit for the month. Um yeah, that's information that would have been better imparted when I rang up requesting the service change. So I wouldn't recommend them, though now that everythign is working relatively well I'm fairly contented with the speed and service - as long as I never have to talk to them again!
  7. Anyone know of any farmer's markets around or near Sheffield today?
  8. What time on Tuesdays is the meeting? I'm new to Sheffield and could use some beer and knitting time!
