letter from graham white soolicitors today- notice of intended litigation. "Take note- the costs associated with issuing a claim in the county court is as follows: " = £207.25 plus the £148!! "In the event of a judgement order not being adhered to, we may seek a warrant of execution. This wouls allow a bailiff to attend your address and remove goods for sale by public auction, and in your case I would alert the court to all facts known to us including your owbership of motor vehicles" The scare tactics are working!!! -
To pay or not to pay? That is the question

Today I have a letter from a debt collectors about this. asking for £148! It says "we are fully aware of anecdotal information being presented via the interner and on various websites and you may well feel this guidance is worth following. We strongly urge you to seek independent legal advice rather than rely on these opinions, and we would respectively suggest that you refer to the Civil Procedure Rules part 31, and more specifically parts 31.16 and 21.17" I am now getting worried that I will be taken to court!, and that this bill will escalate out of control. Please advise? Has anyone been in this situation too? -

I would pay council (after appeal and if i lost) as i would have to! However lack of clear signage etc would still have made it unfair!! Do you have a vested interest Bonjon? -

thanks for responses. was parked in a public park. paid parking fee but parked on a gress verge as there were no spaces ( as did half of rotherham by the look of it). It was packed with no spaces anywhere, i paid and displayed but didnt park in a bay???? -
Nipped on here before re a parking fine. This was issued by a company called TPS. However was issued on council property. Do i have to pay up or not? Anyone know or dealt with these before? THanks

CLIFTON PARK parking and tickets!!
rusmum replied to rusmum's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
it is beautiful, pointless though if families cannot enjoy it as they cannot park up! Finding alternative places would be great but i am unfamiliar with the area, got stuck in bloody 1 way system as it was lol. Grass was in no way chewed! Not makred at all. It shows how bad it is the sheer number of cars on the grass or ends (ie not in bays!) I dont feel that the fines are there to deter (otherwise clear signs would be in place!) but to simply create revenue!!!! -

I did not see a single sign- otherwise i would have evicted said in law and children and driven around to find somewhere else. In 12 years driving it is my 1st ever ticjet so i am not simply making excuses, just annoyed!I can appeal i think but will go back and phonotgaph my route and lack of said signs. -
Only bother if you are local as there IS NEVER ANYWHERE TO PARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not worth the hassle and ticket!!!!! STUPID!

I am fuming after a visit to said park today. After an hour drive there i went to the museum car park. 20 mins later no spaces still, and all grass verges /other available spaces parked in. So i drive around to the other side (all the roads all the way around are double yellow!). Again no spaces in the other car park. Cars everywhere, people milling about. All verges parked on. I have old relative, 2 year old and 6 year old and me (8mths pg) in car/ hot/tired etc. I see a car drive off a grass part and pull on- pay for my ticket and off we go- HAPPY TIMES! 3 hours later (and having spend about £20 on rides/ice cream etc) i return to find a bloody ticket for £60 . Now at no point driving around/pulling on the grass verge or paying for my ticket did i see a DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS sign. What a money making <REMOVED> trick! And where are we expected to park? Am gutted! cannot afford 40 and will not be going to clifton again!!!! Rant over!!!!!

Whats Hartley Brook school like?
rusmum replied to yummymumchel's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
it wasn't that long ago that longley was one of the worst schools in the city! just shows what a good focus can do, think hatfielda and hartley brook are on the way up, but having said that i moved 20 miles so my girl's wouldn't have to go to hatfield or hartley brook so??
