The 55-year-old man was travelling on Bradway Road in Sheffield at about 0015 GMT when his bike hit the kerb and crashed into a lamppost. The rider, from Lowedges, was taken to Sheffield's Northern General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. He has not yet been identified. Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone who saw the bike before to crash to contact them. ( from radio sheffield site)
