I have recently moved to Sheffield and am very keen to find a 11-a-side football team to join, either Saturday or Sunday's. I use to play regularly but went abroad to work so now looking to get back into it. I play centre mid or anywhere across the back four. If you have any details you could pass on to me or any recommendations about teams to join or teams that are looking for players that would be great. Cheers.

I wouldn't be able to make that time, the earliest i could probably do is 6:30, but maybe a bit earlier if we played at goals.

Monday's would be fine for me as well and i would prefer Goals seeing as i live nearer to that and don't have a car at the mo. Is Goodwins part of Sheff Uni's facilities? Might be able to get near it on the tram possibly. I don't play in net. I play centre mid or at the back.

Hi thanks for this, i could well be interested. I am going to be living near Norfolk Park without a car to begin with, so i'm just wondering how difficult it would be to get to training and the matches. Whereabouts is Goodwin in Sheff? When does the league start? The 1st training session i could make would probably be Tues 19th Aug.

Is the college near to the Beeches Bank development then? Really don't know what to do now. The flat is v.nice, just unsure about the area. Don't want to move to an area with a lot of trouble/crime.

Thanks for your replies, it's interesting to hear other people's views of the area. Does anyone know if there are plans for much more development around the Beeches Avenue development and if the row of shops is to be demolished anytime soon?

Me and my girlfriend are looking to rent a flat in Sheffield and have found one we like at the Beeches Bank development off Park Grange Road next to Norfolk Park. Just wanted to know people's opinions/views of the area and if you would recommend moving there? Thanks.
