  1. Hi just letting you know, we found the owner after putting loads of posters up around the area! Bunny safely back home!
  2. Hi, a Rabbit was found by a neighbour on our estate under his car this morning, as we have a rabbit and a spare hutch / run, ive looked after it til we find the owner. If anyone has or knows anyone who has lost a Rabbit in the last 24 / 48 hrs please message me, Im not adding a phoot as I want the owner to be genuine and it go back to its proper home. He/she is in very good condition, very tame and is eating and drinking ok, so I do think its a very recent escape! I have rang round local vets as well as other forums. Thanks!
  3. Hi, my wife found a stray Shi Tzu type dog (bitch), today at around 13:00. Its light grey mainly, with specks of white and darker greys. No collar on the dog or RFID chip in it as she took it to the vet to be scanned. It looks well looked after and fed so assume its not a stray, someone will have lost it. I can email photos if you think its your dog or perhaps a friends. Were putting up posters later in case, but I thought Sheffield forum is a good place to start. PM me if you think it is. Cheers ---------- Post added 19-11-2013 at 14:00 ---------- The dog was found on Fishponds Road just off Hastilar Road South, S13. Cheers

  5. Hi, I am currently starting work on a single driveway at our house. I have had approval from the council to drop the kerb so I am currently getting quotes for a kerb dropped. I am just interested to hear out there what prices people have paid to qualified contractors / builders for the dropping of a kerb and how long it took. You dont have to name the builders if you dont like and also if you want it to stay anonymous please PM me. Hope this thread doesnt get hijacked and turned into arguments as other drop kerbbed threads have! Many thanks Shep

  10. Definitley oppotunists... I no doubt will recognise them as they walk past my house every day. These people are lawless, brought up by bad parents who themselves were brought badly and so on. Chop a finger off for every time the steal owt, they'd soon stop.... They had there 5 mins of fun, well have months of pain and expense, hope they can sleep at night.

  13. Hi, yes indeed there were zeppelin raids over attercliffe in WW1. Im actually in the middle of reading this book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Popular-History-Sheffield-Edward-Vickers/dp/B0014J04ZM (from 1977) And bizarrely read about the Zeppelin raids only last night. A man would sit in a basket many metres below the Zeppelin directing it, whilst the zeppelin would pass by unoticed in the cloud cover. See if you can get a copy of the book, its a fascinating read and has much more details about the blitz than I previously read. Cheers
  14. Hi Dozy, thanks for your reply, I will mention this to her. Fingers crossed!
  15. Hi, a relative of mine has been suffering from Dromophobia (fear of crossing roads) for around 10 years now. She has had various treatments on the NHS and private - hypnotherapy included. Unfortunatley nothing is working for her. Its a real debilitating condition, she has a young child and cannot cross any road unaided, shes has to plan her routes to avoid crossing roads where possible. Relatives and friends are constantly taking time out to help her home from work, to the doctors, shops etc. It all started when she had surgery on her leg around 10 years ago and needed help corssing roads, since that point and her leg healed she has been unable to cross roads / car parks. Another factor which is compounding this is she has no periphary vision, a fact only realised around 6 years ago which could explain the reasons why the standard procedures havent worked. Does anyone out there have experience of this syndrome and all being well a positive outcome? Perhaps there are people out there who could help treat her. Thanks
