Hi We are holding a Ladies Day on Sunday 5th September at The Rutland Hotel and a Christmas Fayre on Sunday 21st November. Stalls are themed around things ladies love! eg clothes, handbags, beauty, hair, tanning, gifts, accessories etc. The event is also to help raise funds for The Sheffield's Childrens hospital and The Jessops Neonatal Ward. These events have been a great success in the past. There are still some stalls available please get in touch if you are interested. Thanks

Hi Thanks for all your helpful posts, she stocks most of the sweets you have talked about, so she is on the right track!! Some useful ideas though so keep them coming incase she has forgot some. The shop is just up from hunters bar roundabout on the right hand side, not sure of the exact address it is called Sweet Dreams. Thanks again for all your suggestions.

Hi My friend opened a traditional sweet shop on Ecclesall Road recently and today we were talking about what peoples favourites are and also what she should look into stocking in the future. She already has a HUGE choice of traditional and retro sweets as well as sweet hampers, ice creams, chocolates, fudge, and sherbert machine which is very popular with the kids!!, but could do with some input on what the people of Sheffield would like to see her stock in the future. Whats your favourate sweet and have you got any suggestions of new items she could think about stocking? Thanks

Hi I just came accross this thred by accident and couldn't belive it! We are having the exact same problem with simon jersey. We ordered the uniforms they all arrived but the uniforms were all the wrong sizes, we rang them and sent them back. It took maybe 3 more attampts to get it right. When our invoice came we were charged for all of them, and they are now saying that we never sent the other items back? (we have lost proof of postage so don't have a leg to stand on). Nightmare company with no customer service skills. What happened in the end to you?

Hi I posted on here earlier about someone giving me lessons on illustrator, but have now come to the conclusion that it might be best to get someone to do me the illustrations for me!! I am looking for a certain type of sketches, doodle images for my new range of greeting cards. lol oh crookes gossip, got that one wrong then!! But I did hear it can't be a supermarket. I would like a really good coffee shop and deli. I have owned a shop at crookes for 15yrs and you cannot get a decent lunch anywhere, all the girls at the shop get fed up with the basic sandwiches everyday. Someone pls open one and we will be your best customers!

I have a business in crookes and have heard that its going to be a crapet shop. The co-op owned the building until Merlin bought it, and put a clause in the contract that it could be not be opened as a food outlet for 150 years, so its definatly not going to be a supermarket.

Hi PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can someone recommend a printer for printing on thick card 200gsm?? I have googled and searched and unfortunatly come back to nothing. All the printers recommended on other peoples searches are old printers that are no longer around. I have been into PC world only to have the staff look at me like I have 2 heads and have searched on the spec on all the websites, but the thickness does not seem to be listed on any. Any recommendations gratefully recieved. Thank you

Hi all Just wondered if by any chance anyone on here had bought any guinea pigs from pets at home recently. I bought 2 on the 22nd march and soon after noticed that something was not right. One had a crusty nose and was very lathargic and the other one had a bald patch and a scab on her back. I took both to the vet and they both had antibiotics, one had to stay in as I was told it had pneumonia and the other had a very nasty infection. This cost me £60.00 for all the consultation and treatment. The guinea pig that had to stay in came home yesterday and seemed a little better, then this morning had a turn for the worst. She had completely lost use of her legs and crying in pain. I could not watch her suffer so I booked her in at the emergency vets ( as its good friday and everywhere is closed) They said the best thing for her was to put her to sleep as she was riddled in infection. This cost another £100.00. I have since heard of a friend that her neighbour bought 2 guinea pigs on the same day as me and has had exactly the same trouble but they only lasted a week. When she went in to complain they said that they had had a bad batch and gave her 2 more! I have spoke to them today and fortunatly they have agreed to pay the vet bill, but people be aware I have heard soooooo many horrer stories since that i would do your resaerch before going there to buy your pet! I would also like to say that i have been and bought 2 more today from a pet shop on Hillsbourgh road and they could not have been more helpful and was highly recommended.
