  1. i don't get it, what have they actually done in this video that would warrant getting the police involved? all i can see is a load of kids posing for pictures outside sharrow flats. there's a picture of a BB gun on a bed? A lad with a scream mask looking reyt scary an proper ard inside kebabish on london road? only graffiti i saw was R.I.P venomous, which was all over london RD and sharrow when the lad got killed. only crime i could point out is that ****e speed garage sound track. just looks like a load of kids bein rude innit. someone explain
  2. The sonic piece is by SUCH, he has done murals across the city. As the wall it's painted on surround a basketball court, which obviously has children playing on it, I reckon they probably get pleasure out of looking at a picture of sonic the hedgehog. If you look closely at the picture, it says "we paint for fun".
  3. some work that's currently on the legal graffiti walls. the wall surrounds a basketball court and is painted and re-painted by the graffiti writers. there are no rules governing who can paint there, although a certain standard is expected.
  4. it covers all the snorting sounds from the cubicles nicely. good show.
  5. sheffield needs an indoor real snow place, it makes sense with all the hills. i thought there were plans to do this at the ski village site, has that completely fallen through?
  6. http://www.repletes.net/walls.htm is that art? http://www.repletes.net/paintings.htm or that? i see a wall being built for public art in the same light as building a skatepark or something similar. but like you say, each to their own.
  7. I’m sorry Ken, but how can you possibly compare people defacing headstones with Nazi symbolism with graffiti ART? It’s sickening. Its clear superchrome is saying there are two different camps of people using spray paint. Those who tag people’s homes and gravestones, and those who use spray paint for art. I don't believe for a second you actually think that's what people class as graffiti art, or what he's trying to defend.
  8. one of sheffield's most prominent graffiti writers from a few years back came from round there. it makes me laugh how people on here make little quips about graffiti writers. Companys like addidas, addict etc are employing them to design clothes. Car companys film their 'hip' cars infront of graffiti backdrops. instead of making out all graffiti artists do is write swear words an draw pictures of cocks, try actually looking into the subject. face it graffiti is here to stay, if you dont get it, your probably too old. ps, im not saying it's a good thing the media is hi-jacking graffiti, merely using it as an example.
  9. seriously i hope the use of sarcasm is being lost through computers. skeggy? how would we go about finding said drug dealers, knock on each house? 'oh yes, i noticed a pair of trainers hanging from a telephone wire 50 meters or so down the road, and well, was just wondering if i could....er....buy some crack?' just to let your minds rest, it's either kids or some sort of tyrannosaurus rex eh jess?
  10. since he said he will be using it to promote nights at a bar, that's probably a good thing. Myspace is better for promotion, bands etc Facebook is better for friends etc or you could sign up for both as there both free and find out which one is better suited for you. both will make you wish you never owned a computer.
  11. sorry? So it's a fact that because someone did a crap piece of graffiti on your building, someone else attempted to break in? Im sorry to hear you've had so many problems, still there's no need to resort to name calling!
  12. PRICK AND BUM...... REPPIN THAT HOMOPHOBE FLAVA HA HA AH AH AH it's quite funny a couple of homophobes writing PRICK AND BUM. i think the face with a nob going into the mouth is hillarious, wouldn't want it on my house like.
  13. i know a couple of graffiti writers currently studying fine art at uni.
  14. im glad your making the distinction between the two... spraying a giant bell on a phone box isn't really the same as perfecting a piece for hours and hours on paper and then going out and spending your own cash on paints to put it up on a wall. graffiti is street art though, so it wont ever stop on the streets. when it does it will cease to be graffiti in the true sence, it'l be "graffiti style art" conveyed through the medium of spraycans and wall. GET ME BLAD??
  15. so does this mean you would start painting graffiti?
  16. Burglar? hobby? Kleptomaniac? what are you on about? im not sure anyone who is in a position where they are robbing houses would turn round and claim they only do it to pass the time. if you'd like a hand down from your high horse...... it's been said a hundred times now, graffiti is a broad term. i understand most people only see one side of the coin (tagging, etc) and form there opinions from that. do you think the graffiti on the empty shops on eccy road was done by a graffiti artist who has been writing years? or do you think the tag "bum" was maybe from someone who wasn't quite as acomplished? your going to take a look at that and go....ehhh graffiti. bloody vandals. cant stand them, lock them up with the burglars rapists and murderers where they belong. but if you take a look around you'l see it's embedded in todays advertising and marketing, and society, mainly used to push trendy stuff to young people. addidas have just released a new run of clothes an trainers designed by graff artists. i could go on for ever but im not going to waste my time, graffiti is all over, (not just on the streets) and here to stay. sorry. all that **** tagging does make the place look a mess, but its part of a bigger picture.
  17. MILTON LANE/STREET..... but me old mate thomas says it's been painted over. probably had permission to do it as it was massive. if he didnt he's got bottle.
  18. good question mate. i dont really know........... any suggestions?
  19. like i said, i think it's a great idea and would love to see it happen. iv spoken to police who agreed there should be more legal space. it still has to be put forward to the council, who i understand rejected the last bid to gain space for legal walls. for anything like this to work it would need support from the local community and police etc.
  20. first off iv never tagged anyones home, and nor would most graffiti writers. it's little pikey kids that have nicked dads car paint that mostly do things like that. graffiti is a very broad term, try and broaden your outlook. thanks for the link. i would love to do something like that, but between work and eveything else, i doubt id have time. also by the prejudice shown by most people towards graffiti, id probably be wasting my time. innit.
  21. look it's obvious it's not going to go away, everyone knows it. why not give writers some wallspace? everyone can have a nice day out to go see the vandals paint lovely pictures at their own expence. might even reduce tagging etc etc.....
