Sheffield Archaeology groups.
Tasha_Brett replied to Tasha_Brett's topic in Sheffield History & Expats
thanks guys contacting both now ! -
Hey there, I'm a post grad student looking for local archaeology groups in Sheffield. I've worked with Op' Nightingale (Forces archaeology group) for the last two years in helping to excavate a Anglo-Saxon / Prehistoric burial ground on Salisbury plain in Wiltshire. Since I live in Sheffield, I'm looking in getting my hands back into the earth. Any links, number, emails etc welcome

Hi! my friend at work went there Friday, she says they're ok if you're looking to keep up with the trend, all she wanted was a simple cut because that's how she always have it and they almost disregarded her completely and did what they wanted. The prices are very good, just keep an eye on what they're doing

Oh brilliant! I was looking at rain rescue recently because we were thinking of adopting I've seen this cat come out of somebodies house yesterday morning. By the time I showered and got there and tried knocking but no one was in (or they didn't want to speak) so after work I'll try again, if it's not theirs, I'll contact you. Thankyou x -

Thanks The postman is now keeping an eye out which is nice. We're away for a week or so, so we don't want to leave this cat with no source for food :S -

We have thought about that. My partner is in progress of getting a collar and a tag on it at the moment. Hopefully something should come up, this cat is now waiting on the doorstep every morning, he eats, sleeps for an hour then disappears again. Hopefully a neighbour can lend us a cat carrier so we can get him checked. We shall see. Thanks for the good advice x -

Thanks, so do we. It obviously goes somewhere during the night, so we're hoping it's one of those cats that is just over friendly with everyone. It did seem hungry though. Feel free to pass the picture around though, that'd be a great help! Thanks! -

Ah thankyou! I'll do that now -
Hello there! Has anyone lost or does anyone know who owns a gorgeous small white and grey cat on or around Woodbank Crescent (S8) ? He/She has distinctive pattern on its face, almost seperated into 4 squares of colour (if any of this helps). Anyway, I talked to a neighbour, between us it's been getting fed and it's liking to sleep on our sofa on the odd day. We don't want to take away someones pet, it seems very domesticated. If you can reply here or give us a call on 01142580896 if it is your cat, then we'd be grateful. Until then we'll continue to feed and look after it when it drops by. Thanks! Hey, now I've finally settled in Sheffield, I'm looking to get into a local choir. I'm a rust ex performing arts student, love all music and the 'magic' of singing in a group. If anyone knows of any groups perhaps looking for new members at all, or maybe starting a new group.. if you could let me know, I'd be greatful. Thanks
