I knew gary elmer at spears, I also knew danny, worked with gary until he had that last accident, one of a few. Your dad was one of the maintenance welder/fabricators at spears. I was an apprentice of his. Really nice bloke, by how you've phrased it im presuming hes not with us anymore. sorry to hear that. he used to tell me what train was going over our heads by the tune radio hallam was playing. he moved on to teach the trade at college I think. I was at my mums. my father in law said a lot of Liverpool fans drinking at Hillsborough corner didn't set off till 3 oclock. bet they were the ones without tickets. and the innocent ones were already in the ground waiting to be crushed

Has anyone noticed the smell of burning wood at the top of Jenkin road between 8 and 9 o'clock nearly every night, I think they are trying the new power station at Blackburn meadows. I wonder what it will be like when its working full time. Top of Jenkin is same height as top of chimney which is why I think its (power station) being tested.
