Better still, why don't those who owe this £31M Council Tax just pay it???Â
They will pay it and then get into 31m worth more of debt because they can't afford to pay the next lot, it won't solve the problem at all. Factor in the money it costs to collect this money and it isn't really a solution to any councils deficit.

In which case it's probably a staff training issue and nothing a complaint would sort out, it certainly isn't a "scam" though as the OP originally claimed.
-
No he didn't - it's about the amount not the number of items since that is irrrelevant, he spent £5.50 more than you therefore nothing like 92%Â
I'm working out on a pro rata basis per item as that is the only comparison that is valid given the differing number of items. Hencd why I said he paid 92% more per item. Please keep up.
Â
Oh, and putting all your post in bold doesn't make any difference

how old are you two?Â
Imagine if you were forced to read the thread and then reply to it.

Where is the scam here, please?

Thread title change as it obviously isn't a "scam", everything seems to be a scam on Sheffield Forum.

Give Voluntary Action Sheffield a ring, Google the number.

aye, but he's never wrong. It's the thick skinÂ
Viola would have sent 2 men to do the work. His guy works alone and the customer acts as the second guy doing the lifting and getting scruffed up, hence the cheaper cost. Still he saved himself a fiver, so all is good.
Â
he hasnt saved himself a fiver at all, given the costs on the Barnsley Council website he has paid over the odds

Do you have a link? The only pictures I see on the bbc are the title but no actual depiction of Mohammed.Â
-
Does any one know of any of our brave news agencies that are publishing the front cover of Charlie Hebdo.I have had a search and can only find the picture on American news agencies but none in any UK publications!
Are we afraid?
Or have they been warned off?
Â
BBC News had the picture on one of their pages, so nobody has been "warned off" as far as I can see.

How did these grates suddenly become "raised"?
-
You are suggesting that a company can persuade Garmin or TomTom or Google or Apple (or whatever) to put incorrect postcodes in its database?
Â
Dont be so absurd.
-
Assuming Penistone lives in Barnsley, his local council could have removed NINE items from him for the cost he had two removed!
Â
Â
And even if they count a sofa as four items, it still would have been cheaper.
Â
And no trip to the tip or strain on his back needed

I highly doubt it will be available in Sheffield. London, maybe.
Â
Before anyone actually cared about the magazine it only had a circulation of 60k in France.

The last poll in Brighton showed Caroline Lucas had a 10% lead!Â
Someone a few weeks ago posted a link to a newspaper article explaining how the local Green council had failed to deliver on anything and people were a bit miffed, you would have expected it to translate across to this vote but obviously not.
-
Great to see the Green Party leading in this poll! They should be considered a major party and given a place in the TV election debates. They beat the Lib Dems in the Euros, have more members than UKIP in the UK (if you count the Scottish Greens) and have the best MP in the House of Commons!Â
By all accounts the Green MP will lose her seat in Brighton because the local Green-led council in her area have buggered things up. Not her fault but voters will link her with the local council by association.

Castletown in the Isle of Man?
-
... so you get paid to post on here then?
Â
Yes, the Illuminati pay me. Either that or the Jewish lizards, I forget which.
-
5 hours of my time are worth more than £19.50.
-
Still, 92.3% more than me eh?
-
What a pointless rant this isÂ
A rant from who?
Â
Not me, I'm merely giving credit where it is due, people are so quick to moan on here so some good stories about services are always good. Just amuses me that Penistone has paid over the odds, he is usually one to save money where he can
-
Yep , i followed him down to give him a lift off and help him carry them into the tip .Â

Â
man and van lads just park outside the dump and carry the rubbish it and pass it off as their own . Its easy . i got shut of two sofas, not 10 tonnes of radioactive material .
Â
So not only did you pay 92.3% more per item than me, you then had to use your own petrol following him to the tip, wear and tear on the car, the cost of your own time as well.
Â
I wonder who got the better deal: me or you?
-
Ah yes, of course. Duh.
-
Hmmm...Â
... a nice little earner here then for an unscrupulous entrepreneur with a van and his council tenant 'mates' from down the pub...
Â
My turn to be thick now - how?
-
I think there is another election that day most people will be interested in more, and will be the only reason the local election gets a decent turnout.

Fair enough. You still would have saved yourself money by giving Veolia Sheffield a call, eh?
