  1. Hi Our cat going by the name Bella has been missing since 2nd November. She is grey tabby with white belly and legs and is a small, timid cat. We live on Queenswood Road in Wadsley Park Village and would really appreciate any information of possible sightings around the area. She may have ventured into peoples gardens looking for food or shelter. My Profile picture is of Bella, although she doesn't have the collar pictured any longer. Many thanks in advance Chris
  2. hi there, I'm really surprised they are quoting you 2k at Wood Lane?? We are getting married there on March 2nd, are paying £1400 (plus 500 for the cermony which won't affect you) and we get the whole place - 2 barns, green room and all the grounds from Friday 12pm to monday morning. I've been really impressed whenever I have visited...
  3. Many thanks for your advice and reccommendantions! Chez2 thanks for your message, unfortunately i'm not allowed to send a PM as i've not posted enough items! Your service sounds wonderful and would have been considered however I did arrange the catering a while ago. We are having an italian/yorkshire theme - italian cuisine using local produce. I'm doing the anti pasti boards with the help of Bragazzis on Abbeydale Road and then PJ taste are doing the main and desert. the evening buffet will be a rustic affair with cheeses and meats, terrines, pickles, piccalilli and chutneys that I have maturing in a corner and so on. Been feeding the bottom cake layer, and have a design in mind! Although could go horribly wrong for such a novice!
  4. Me too! We have just booked Wood Lane for March and will have 2 guests requiring the lift so hope it's fully functioning! Regarding the price; we too were surprised at the price hike including the £500 for the ceremony. However with so few venues giving you a blank canvas like Wood Lane, they realise this and know that people like us will still scrimp to find the extra. Would be a real shame if they start to price people out which they are in danger of doing.
  5. Thanks Sergeantb, Thinking of getting a marquee as well outside so this should help with spreading the numbers out in the evening and let the dancers dance (inside) and non-dancers....chill out in the marquee! Photos look amazing by the way....off to see PJ taste next week to discuss menus and see what they can come up with...
  6. We are planning on getting married at Wood Lane in Stannington March 2013 but have only just booked it. Would like to know how people who have got married here organised the different elements and what they did?? ( Does anyone have any tips on having a wedding there? We are hoping to fit about 90 in for dining and know this will be a squeeze - has anyone else managed this amount and how did this go?? Need to hire table cloths and wondering where others who got married here got theirs from? Sorry for all the questions, I won't use being a man as an excuse
  7. I'm sure hollylollys questions didn't deserve your sour and sarcastic replies. Another option hollylolly is to have a humanist cermony upon your return. My brother had one for his daughters naming ceremony as he is an atheist and although I was dubious at first, it was actually a lovely, personalised service. May not be what you're after, but is a non-religious option
