Yea I have been round had a look. My mortgage lender sent a valuer round last Monday I had my survey last Friday. The mortgage valuer didn't raise this as an issue (but have raised something with outhouse) so thinking it's in the last week it's happend.

I am looking to buy a house with retaining walls to the garden on the boundary of the property Just got survey back and he identified that part of one of the walls has collapsed (it was fine when I viewed the property) and looks to be bulging in places. (Although it is an old wall.) He recommends getting survey to check condition of the walls. What would you do in this situation? I am inclined to get a survey but would it be worth approaching with the homeowner with this issue or just get quotes for reinstatement? I'm at a bit of a loss how best to approach this situation so if anyone has any advice would really appreciate it

Don Valley Stadium wasn't a financial drain there are other leisure centres in Sheffield that cost far much more to run and will never return a profit. Don Valley was more than athletics there was a Gymnastics and Athletics academies, Rugby, Football, indoor bowls, model car racing a gym and loads of private events and confrences. The stadium was an icon for Sheffield, but sadly the short sighted council bulldozed it and now Sheffield wont be able to host big multi sport events such as the School Games or Transplant games as happend last year. There was a relatively small cost to running the stadium but now its gone Sheffield will loose far much more with lower exposure and fewer large events

doesn't sheffield council's Events Unit play a part in the orgnaisation and running of the event?

SCCs justification for closing down the stadium is that it subsidises the stadium £5.00 per visit. This doesnt mean it has the highest subsidy, just a lower attendance rate than other leisure centres. Whats the true cost of Ponds Forge & Hillsborough Leisure Centre? If SIV & Sheffield City Council made a real effort they can make it work, it could be a success Such a waste
