  1. No, that must be a different Ratcliff family as I don't know of a Barry. The Ratcliff family I've been asking about lived in Attercliffe originally, then Firth Park Road, before moving out to Beauchief. My grandfather, Reginald Ratcliff, had an electrical business including a shop in Wicker Arches. I've been trying to find out if anyone remembers his daughter Judy, my Mother. She died when I was 13 so I can't ask her about her younger years in Sheffield. She had a brother Keith and a sister, Pat.
  2. I've noticed it's closed too. Does anyone know why? I think it's owned/run by the same people who seem to have rejuvenated The George & Dragon in Mosborough who I assume are the people who did the sports bar theme. The fact is, that with the current trend of pubs struggling unless they do food or real ale, perhaps it's a case of survival of the fittest in Mosborough and in the long run the Vine closing will help the other pubs survive. That said, always sad to see a local pub struggling.
  3. Hi Molly, I haven't heard anything from you. Did you say you knew my Mum Judy and her brother Keith?
  4. I am planning to replace my boiler and need a quote. I'm looking for someone who is reliable and will do a good job. The house is quite big and currently has a 10 year old Baxi combination boiler which because of the size of the house also has a storage tank within it. When it was being repaired recently the engineer said he would replace it with a separate boiler and tank because of the size of the house - whilst someone else said a combi should cope. I need advice which is best. S20 area.
  5. Thanks hillsbro, I haven't visited this site for ages and just saw your message. I didn't realise he had more than one shop.
  6. Hi Molly I haven't visited this site for ages and when I did I saw your message. You say you knew my mum Judy and Uncle Keith? Tim Smith
