  1. I have always used Right Track Tyres on Holywell Road and was shocked to turn up on Saturday to find the place closed. Does anyone know if they have moved and if so where to?
  2. Unfortunately this little girl is still in the kennels as nobody has come forward for her. Well, actually, that's not quite true. Apparently someone did phone the kennels but when they were told about the release fee they said "it's only a dog I'm not paying for it to be released". Lucky I found her when I did really as she'll be better off in a new home than with people who don't deserve to have a pet. If it wasn't for the fact that I have a thirteen year old dog already I'd have her myself. Silly me thinking I was doing the right thing.
  3. Just spoken to the kennels and unfortunately as yet no-one has claimed the poor little love. PLEASE PLEASE if you do know of anyone who might have lost this dog the telephone number of the kennels is in the OP. Thanks again all.
  4. I've only just joined the forum, but as a dog lover all I can say is I'm so so sorry. Just make sure you enjoy every moment.
  5. Unfortunately not, that's the first thing they checked when I took her to the kennels. I feel really bad as I didn't want to leave her but I have a 13 year old dog already so couldn't bring her home with me. I just hope the owners are forum members.
  6. Many thanks, I've put the number in my mobile and will call them first thing in the morning. I have also put a card in the post office window.
  7. Good evening all, apologies if this is in the wrong place but it's only my second post so still a little unsure. I found the most beautiful, friendly and fussy black and white Jack Russell (or similar) bitch this morning running in and out of traffic on Mansfield Road (bottom of Newlands Drive). She had a very distinctive collar but it had no name, address or telephone number on it. As I was on my way to work and couldn't just leave the poor little thing to get run over I put her in the car with me and took her to the City Council Kennels near West Bar. If you believe this is your dog please call 07817 497995 (Kennels). I apologise in advance if this causes the owner inconvenience to pick her up, but I really didn't know what else to do.
  8. I had a similar situation where a duck was trapped behind some netting near to where I work. I phoned the RSPCA national line (I'm sure there was an option on there concerning abandoned birds eggs) and I'm sure they would be able to help you. You could also try the Sheffield number but last time I tried nobody ever bothered to answer the phone. Hope this helps.
